In the morning, after Shehnaaz had her breakfast, she was in the study reading a book. All of a sudden, her reading was interrupted by the doorbell. Shehnaaz went to the living room and was surprised to see that the unknown visitor at the door was none other than Maya, Sidharth's childhood friend.
On the other hand, Shehnaaz was taken aback when she saw May at the door, and Maya, on the other hand, was equally shocked to see Shehnaaz at Sidharth's apartment.
While Maya was staring at her, Shehnaaz had a conversation with herself in her mind.
"Why has she come to meet Sidharth at his apartment? He didn't even bother to tell me that Maya would be coming home. Huh... I don't care though, " Shehnaaz thought.
Maya didn't expect to run into Shehnaaz at Sidharth's place. She took a few steps inside the apartment and slid her shades up on her head.
"Umm... you are the same girl whom I met at the mall. Right? As far as I know, this is Sidharth apartment. What are you doing here?" Maya attacked Shehnaaz with her questions without any greetings or formalities. Since her arrival was sudden and unannounced, Shehnaaz wasn't prepared for this Q&A session.
She replied softly in a timid tone, "Yeah... actually I live here at his apartment as his housemate. And may I know why you are here..."
"I came here to meet Sidharth," Maya declared.
It's a pleasure to meet you again, Maya . But if you wanted to meet Sidharth, you could have gone to the hotel instead. He's at the hotel alone," Shehnaaz responded coldly.
Maya was staring at her and was assessing her appearance all over again. Since Shehnaaz was pregnant, she could not wear tight-fitting clothes. She preferred loosely fitted maternity clothes that Maya found weird and out of fashion. It was clearly visible from her face that Maya had not liked Shehnaaz's attire once again.
"For sure, I'll definitely meet Sidharth, but for the time being, I want you to tell me something. If you stay here at his apartment, where does Sidharth live? Wait... do you guys live together in this apartment?" She asked curiously.
Her gaze grew intense and Shehnaaz became restless. She had no answers to her questions. She couldn't figure out how to answer her questions. Maya was staring at Shehnaaz and waiting for her to respond.
For a moment, Shehnaaz thought of all the excuses that she could give Maya . And finally, she came up with an answer. "Umm... actually... Sidharth has shifted to the hotel due to the excess workload. I didn't have a place to live. And Sidharth was kind enough to provide his apartment for me to live in."
Maya was not satisfied with the answer, but somehow agreed with her words. Thereafter, she moved her gaze around the apartment. And Shehnaaz had her eyes fixed on her. She was wearing a sleeveless top with blue rugged denim. She was flawlessly beautiful and looked perfect as she looked that day at the mall. Shehnaaz was mesmerised by her and how she carried herself. After a few seconds, Maya popped up another question, "May I know what your name is?"
