You gazed at your new born son, Trey. He had your eyes and your husband, Jim's, hair color. Jim had been away on an away mission when you had Trey. He raced to the landing sight, tripping down a hill in the way.

Jim had fought against McCoy when he tried to stabilize him. Apparently, he had broken his leg and gained a concussion. Spock, who turned out to be very strong, had held him down so McCoy could bandage his leg and put it in a splint.

He had been beamed back aboard and taken to the sickbay. He wasn't able to see you because he needed to be looked at. Turned out, Jim needed surgery on his leg from the break. It was worse than they thought.

You were holding Trey in your arms while he slept. Trey Kirk. He was particularly small, but was very cute and healthy. Doctor McCoy visited you to tell you how Jim was doing. McCoy was going to let you see him in a few minutes.

You were wheeled in a wheelchair to his room. The nurses let you hold Trey to the room. Jim was awake in bed, his leg propped up on a pillow. He was sitting up in a position that didn't look very comfortable.

"Hi, Jim." You say once the nurses leave.

"Hey, Y/N." He answered gesturing to hold Trey. You hand him over.

"Hey son." He muttered to him. "What did you name him?"

"Trey. I'll let you choose the middle name." You reply, looking at the way Jim looked at Trey. He looked soft, caring, and loving.

"How about Joseph? It's a normal middle name. Unlike mine. Tiberius." Jim suggested.

"Trey Joseph Kirk. I love it." You say, slowly moving yourself out of the wheel chair. Jim signaled you to sit down again, reluctantly you obeyed. "What happened to you anyway? All I heard is that you fell."

"Yeah, when they told me you were in labor I started to run back to the landing sight. I tripped down a hill and broke my leg, I also hit my head. Bones was trying to get me to stay still and I wouldn't. I guess that tore muscles in my leg which is why I needed the surgery. I can't believe I missed Trey being born!" Jim explained, getting frustrated towards the end.

"It's alright. I did alright." You say, smiling down at Trey, who was sleeping.

Jim smiled. "And now we have a handsome young boy that is out son. Oh man I hope I'm a good father."

"You'll be fine."

"So will you."

"I love you. "

"I love you."

"Love you Trey."

Sorry I haven't been updating lately. Since it's the end of the year my teachers decided 'Hey! Let's give all the kids 75 point tests!' So I've been studying for those. And now the tests are over, except for a math final. So, I'll try to update more. I promise. Any requests or ideas let me know, I'm always open.
