Spock

You sat on the edge of your bed, fiddling your fingers nervously. You had just recently found out you were pregnant, and you had no idea how your husband would react.

"Hello, Y/N." Spock said as he entered the quarters. "Are you all right? You don't look very well."

"I'm not alright Spock. I have something to tell you, but I don't know how to tell you." You say, looking down at your feet. In a few months you wouldn't be able to see them.

"Why don't you try it by playing a game. Or some sort of word play?" Spock suggested. That sparked an idea. You could play hangman. It had been one of your favorite games.

"Great idea." You say, taking out a notebook. You drew the setting, the lines, and explained the rules. "All you do, is guess a letter. I'll fill in the blanks when you guess a correct letter. It's going to be the English alphabet."

"What if I get a letter wrong?" Spock asked.

"I draw apart of a human." You say. Spock nodded and guessed the letter a.

You filled the a in the spot. He guessed c next, you drew the head. He guessed n. You filled in the two ns. He guessed g, then m, then p, then e. It now spelt
_ m p_ egnan_.

"Can I guess what it is?" Spock asked.
You nod.

"It says 'I'm pregnant.'" Spock confirmed. He looked at it for a second before his face changed. He looked at you and then at the paper. "Are you pregnant?"

You nod and smile at him. He looks at you and then smiled. Just for a couple seconds, but it was there.

"You smiled!" You yelled, kissing him and smiling more.

"It is a logical response for one being informed of a child." Spock defended, kissing you.

"Yeah, sure it is." You say sarcastically.

"I love you." Spock muttered, putting his hand on your stomach. "I love you," he muttered quieter, this time to the baby.

"Love you." You say, hugging him.
