Having a child was something you loved. You had a newborn daughter. Your husband, Leonard, was going to let the crew meet her while you were sleeping.

He walked out into the waiting room where everyone was. Uhura thought she was the cutest thing. "Hey Spock, would you like to hold her?" Leonard asked, Spock. Spock moved away a little bit, confused by the child.

"Doctor, I'd really prefer not to. I'm not very fond of children and they aren't very fond of me." Spock said, trying to move away.

"C'mon Spock, you'll be fine." Leonard insisted, holding the baby closer to Spock.

Cautiously, Spock attempted to hold the baby. He kept moving his hands away, scared of what would happen.

"Spock, c'mon! It's a baby, not a bomb! You're getting the chance before any of us to hold the baby, but you're all no touchy touchy! Just hold the baby!" Kirk yelled, trying to keep his voice relatively low while he yelled.

"Alright." Spock muttered, taking the baby in his arm. Leonard told him how to properly hold the baby, supporting the head and back.

The baby started fussing in his arms. "She wants you, not me. Please take her back." Spock pleaded, trying to hand Leonard the baby back.

"Try rocking her back and forth. She likes that." Leonard said, demonstrating with his arms how to rock a baby.

Regretfully, Spock rocked her back and forth. She settled down and looked up and Spock. Her hand reached for his face, and then his ears.

"I think she likes your ears." Sulu pointed out. Spock lifted the baby closer to his face. Your daughter really like his ears.

"I still don't find pleasure in this." Spock muttered, glaring at Leonard.

"Well, just deal with it." Leonard said, looking down at his daughter. She had taken a big liking to Spock, and even though he won't admit it, Spock started liking her too.
