It was only a dream

That dream was only the beginning, because from that day on Ben did not get a full night's sleep. However, to his possible joy, they were not always nightmares, sometimes they had beautiful dreams, but only sometimes.

This time he was not in that strange forest, however the place was just as strange. The place was so dirty and dark, as if it had no light source, be it electric or solar. Where could it be? Ben started walking and discovered that this was by far the scariest environment he had ever been in. A gloomy atmosphere settled in, a cloud of smoke and a chill that not even in the winters of Auradon did he feel. Being there gave him the creeps all over, even though, the same feeling of familiarity remained in him.

He wouldn't even bother to call out to anyone. As long as his sleep held him, he would try to find out where he was. So, he did, he continued to walk through the strange, dirty, crooked streets. How could a car pass through those alleys? If it was possible that something or a person was walking there. There were stores, but empty, houses that by their condition must have been abandoned, nothing alive seemed to have once lived in this place.

"The future king of Auradon here?"

That sweet voice said again. She hadn't spoken to him in a few days. At the same time that he will begin to like the sound of it, hearing it out of nowhere was beginning to annoy him.

"Ah, so you do know this, you know my name, where I came from, and so far, I have no idea who you are."

He was beginning to think he was crazy to say the least, since, he seemed to be talking to himself.

While still wandering around not knowing for sure where he was going or if that voice would speak to him again. He noticed a shadow passing by him again and again. The place that was already conducive to fear only made the situation worse. When he finally managed to at least touch the person around him, all he saw was a strand of purple hair brush across his face.

And then finally, he woke up.

He sat up in bed in a rage. That was the worst part, when he woke up without understanding anything, but at least this time there was more than one voice, if that was anything.

Ben got up and went to wash his face. In an hour his alarm clock should wake him up, but there he was looking in the mirror and wondering if he was going crazy.

One thing he had to admit, hearing that voice was so good and comforting. As the king's son he knew almost everyone in royalty, he had been to almost every state and talked to hundreds of people daily, so it would make sense to think he knew the person, but he also felt he had never heard anything like it. That was it, he was going crazy.

Fairy Godmother was called urgently the day Ben had his first dream. Since that day she had been trying to find out from the boy's description if there really was a forest like that, what became clear to the fairy was that she was right, the Witch's curse had begun to be fulfilled, now it was time to find out how she would act on the heir to the throne.

Times Later

Months, almost years have passed and nothing has changed. Dreams and more dreams. Ben couldn't believe he was the same. He slept less and less and didn't pay attention to the world around him, if he was awake, he wanted to sleep, and if he slept, he wanted to wake up from nightmares.
