Flashback, few chapters ago

"Hello? Hello?" he answered, not sure if it was the right thing to do. The voice continued to call him and each time it seemed more desperate. "Hi, can you hear me?" He began to run around worriedly. As he called, he tried to guide himself towards the voice. He couldn't understand why, but he felt an affliction in his chest as he heard the call. When he stopped listening to it and looked around and couldn't see any meaning in that place, which seemed to have only trees, he felt more fear, not for him, but for her. "Hello, dammit! Can you hear me still?" He shouted worried that he couldn't hear anything else. "Talk to me, please" He had never felt this way, scared, powerless and so worried for someone.

Congratulations on your birthday." She laughed, because a stranger knew about her birthday and apparently her mother didn't even care. "Help! Help!" It sounded like something was happening to the unknown person, who she thought was a man.

"E! What's up!?" She asked looking around to see the person. "Hey! Are you okay?" Mal usually didn't care about anyone but her, but she was wanting to know about him....

"Mal!"

"...She didn't know where she was and yet she heard a mysterious voice. Mal felt like she knew this voice from somewhere, so she wasn't totally frightened."

"Your voice."

"Ben, please." His eyes closed and Mal felt would no longer see the brown eyes she loved so much. "Prince." Her hands were clasped in his and she felt when for the last time he breathed in and out. "You didn't let me sing my song for you." She couldn't accept that reality. "Am I crazy? Maybe, we could happen." She sang, as she ran her fingers through his hair. "Will you still be with me, when the magic's all run out?" She placed a kiss on his forehead without having the courage to touch his cold lips.

Auradon

"Hades!"

The voice from the sky called out for the former god of the Underworld.

"Why do I think that's not good?" Merlin feared as he saw the sky darken. Not even in his worst nightmares did he think such a thing could happen. "Is that who I think it is?"

"If you're talking about Zeus, the powerful god, who kills people using lightning, who has a strong anger for mortals and a deep hatred against Hades, then yes."

"Hades!"

As another shouted a bolt of lightning struck Auradon Prep.

"Merlin, what do we do?"

White Queen shouted for the wizard on behalf of all the magical creatures who didn't know what to do. They were prepared to face their archenemies, they never thought they would fight mythological beings.

"What did that girl do?"

Rashid asked getting more and more worried.

"Are you talking about Mal? Rashid we can't go after her now, we need to find Hades."

"Where are you little brother? Hades, you bastard!"

From afar they watched mountains catch fire.

"This was not the end I was imagining." When another bolt of lightning set a building on fire, he felt obliged to go after the purple-haired girl. "I'm going after Mal."
