So, there is a part of the chapter "Welcome to Auradon" that did not go with the rest of the chapter. So, I will put it right at the beginning of this one.
"Find a way!" Adam yelled at whoever was in the room. "No one is giving up."
No matter what the wise fairy had said about the possibility that this curse had not even been in effect and was just random words. Adam didn't think so.
The last time Circe said "a bunch of words" she had ended his life for 21 years. Fairy Godmother may have had all the knowledge, but he was the one who suffered the Witch's curse.
Everything he spoke that day was not in vain. He might not even know what it meant, but he was sure that at some point it would come true.
"Adam, try to understand. We are looking for nothing. Without Circe and without knowing what she really said. It is impossible to continue with this search.
She explained calmly, as the king shouted loudly for everyone outside the room to hear."
"No Fairy Godmother. Ben had nightmares for most of the year. It can't be anything."
The queen argued more calmly.
"It could have been a coincidence. Adam, Belle, I have been searching for twenty years for some evidence, clue, but we know nothing. You can't even be sure of the words she said, all I have is what you and the guards think you heard."
"No! I can't live with this anguish of not knowing what might happen to my son. Next year he takes the crown, what if the curse starts from there?"

Birthday Eve
And that was to be the most normal day of all. It was the eve of the prince's birthday and everyone was in charge of the ball that would be held the next day. Sometimes Ben joked that his first measure as king would be to cut down on the number of balls that Auradon had.
In the morning Belle and Adam went to the Chamber of Nobles to attend an extraordinary meeting with some nobles and the prince was at the school, specifically library.
"Good morning, Cedric."
The prince greeted the librarian.
"Hi Ben, what's all the mess out there? It even looks like the king's birthday."
He asked putting away the boy's books.
"Almost. It's mine, it's tomorrow actually."
"Oh my God! Forgive me I don't..."
"It's okay, they exaggerate sometimes. Cedric, do you know things from the Isle of the Lost?"
"Things?"
"Yeah, how everything works there."
"I know about a thing or two, there are few informative books about the Isle. We have ten copies about Agrabah, but almost nothing about an incredible island without magic. But, what do you want to know about?"
"Do you keep it a secret?"
"I will try hard not to tell my cat."
"My friends and I thought it would be cool to do something irresponsible before the coronation, so we're going to go there. We're not going in, just getting close, I guess."
