It had been twenty-four years since Cedric had last had any information about Circe. There had been one rumor or another, but no shadow of the witch at all. Until today he swore that no one thought of her but him. To his utter deception, however, the king and queen were looking for the Witch.
"So, do you know why the king is looking for her?"
Rashid asked in affliction. He knew Circe and Unlike his friend he had no idea the reason for her sudden disappearance.
"I know, sort of." He ran his hands through his hair almost tugging at it so nervously. "Circe is a key piece in the story of that Fairy Tale."
"The one you're protecting?"
"Yes, but she was very frightened when she cast a prophecy, which she thought was a curse." The librarian began pacing in bewilderment. "She wouldn't listen to me and I had to take care of the book."
"Wait a minute Cedric, it needs to start making sense."
At that moment the mage had an important decision. Telling his friend would violate the Manual of Laws for the Protection of the Book. Rules he had been taught over the years, yet this was the first time a person outside the story had interfered so much. Circe was his friend and if she really was the one who brought the main couple together, wouldn't he have to protect her?
"What the hell!" He spoke loudly and not caring about the consequences. "Pay attention, this Tale is different from all the others. There is no princess. The girl is the daughter of very powerful people and she has a lot of magic and the prince, is a prince, but my friend I assure you he is totally different from Philipe and the others."
"Okay, but where does Circe come into all this?"
"Rash, listen to me, this Fairy Tale is going to change our world again."
Cedric wanted his friend to understand his fear and despair
"I get it, they are important, but what about Circe?"
"Circe was very angry at someone who is also very important in the story, but she didn't know he was there." How hard it was to talk about something and not be able to say people's names. "Turns out she was so angry that she let out a prophecy."
"Just like it was with King Adam?"
"Yes!" As Cedric wanted Rashid to deduce it all by himself. "With Adam it was a curse and it was in the book too, but this time it wasn't a curse, it was a prophecy."
"And you know what this prophecy is?"
"Of course."
"And can you tell?"
"If I remember correctly, it was "His fruit will bring an end to his reign. From where least expected will come happiness and discord. This world of yours has changed because of your tale, but it will be a story even stronger than yours that will make you regret ever wanting to separate the world."
"Without knowing the story that doesn't make any sense to me." How Cedric wanted Rashid to understand the little signs he had given. "What I still don't understand is why King Adam and Belle are after Circe, what does all this have to do with them?"
"Rash I fully trust your intelligence, because I can't tell you more than that and you my dear friend if you pay attention will understand everything."
The guardian begged his friend to understand what he was saying. The creature from Wonderland was thoughtful for a long time, too long to finally be able to fill in the gaps within his mind.
"Or! Wait...no..." When his mind began to repeat everything, Cedric spoke and what he already knew it was like an explosion in his mind. "No! Really?"

Two weeks later
In fourteen days, much had happened in Auradon, especially for Ben. Fourteen nobles of the court were still undeterred about Ben's coronation and his advancement, a minority wanted him to learn more about the government, and a favorable majority believed not yet in the boy's potential. Benjamin was exhausted. Between meetings, dances, and school he wasn't able to pay attention to anything else.
Unlike Auradon, the Isle of the Lost remained the same. Maleficent was still putting terror in everyone, Mal was trying to do the same, but now with the addition of Evie, Carlos and Jay, who become quite a gang. There wasn't much going on on the small continent. Except for the recurring dreams the purple haired girl had throughout the week. They weren't dreams, they seemed like memories.
Dream
"She will not be our queen!"
Mal could hear an unbearable shouting. Not even the Isle riots were that loud
"The book, find the book." She heard a low voice, but one that stood out amidst the shouting. "Mal, your fate is in the book."
Maleficent's daughter woke up frightened as always. I preferred the old dreams, at least they didn't seem as disturbing as these.

United States of America of Auradon
Not unlike her, the heir to the throne was also having dreams, but theirs were good ones, so good that they made him lose track of time more than once this week. It was with Mal, the sassy girl, who said what she thought in front of him, without fear of repression.
Mal seemed so different to him from the girls of Auradon. Not just because of her hair and her clothes, but because of who she was. All right, he didn't know her, he was with her for three days, most of the time they were rude and crude. However, this was so nice! Usually everyone is so careful about their behavior in front of the "crown prince", I sometimes felt like everyone was so fake with them.
Mal, this girl he would never have met if he hadn't risked taking a bold move. Thinking about this girl made the days seem less tedious and stressful. Sure, he would never see her again, and he had a lovely girlfriend who would potentially be his queen, but he would keep thinking about Mal when his days were boring.
And today Ben could say that his day was bright, because he would go to the Isle of the Lost to see Evie and take her to see Doug's cousin and with luck, a lot of luck, he would see the purple haired girl again.

Cedric had the most to think about these two weeks. After getting the whole story straight he learned that Fairy Godmother, Belle and Adam had been searching for Circe for twenty years. Ever since he arrived in Auradon he hadn't felt so afraid. There was no way the king could get wind of Mal. Time was passing and running out. Mal and Ben needed to fall in love soon. Desperate times call for desperate actions
"Look, I know you perceive the outside world." Cedric went to the book and started talking to the object. "So, pay attention to this, you have to advance things. You wanted a different tale, well, here it is, you have created a powerful and unique tale and now you have to help me protect it. Fairy Tales is beautiful inside you, but here, in reality they are much more complicated. Do something about it!"
Possibly Cedric didn't understand what he was asking, because deep down he was just desperate. However, as soon as he put the object back on the table. The book opened by itself, causing the cover to hit the table and make a loud noise. Before he could say anything, pages began to come loose from the book. The leaves began to come out, making a small hurricane around the man. One by one, the leaves were blowing out of the strange gale and coming to a halt piled on the table.
When Cedric went to see what had happened, he realized that the leaves were the pages of the book and when he looked at the object he saw that he was rewriting it. He was advancing and changing the story for her good herself.
The book closed again and on top of it the guardian found a note.
Take care of the book. Protect it from everyone who wants to use it for evil.
Don't say anything more than it should be secret...
