The girl with the purple hair was sitting on the rusty banister of the staircase waiting to see the one person she least wanted to find. Her eyes followed every step he took with his heavy boots. She still couldn't believe that Rashid actually had the courage to bring him and her to them.
"Mal." Ben walked over to her and ran his hands over her shoulders. "You don't want to..."
"Leave me alone Ben." She asked low, as her eyes didn't leave Rashid and the man with the blue hair. "I just want to be alone."
"All right."
He kissed the top of her head and left her alone.
"She's watching you."
Rashid said to Hades, although it was impossible for the half fairy to hear them from above his house, he spoke softly.
"Got it." He looked disguisedly in the direction where his daughter's legs dangled over the iron. "Isn't it dangerous for her to stand there? You said people don't like her very much."
"Hades there's some advice about Mal, she likes what's dangerous, so she doesn't really like to listen to advice and about what not to do."
He threw the stone at the crumpled plate and waited for the gate to open.
"It's a family quality."
He smiled watching the building that looked like it would collapse at any moment.
"What?"
"We don't do it because it's dangerous, it's the thirst for defiance."
"Another thing, pretending you don't care won't help you."
Rashid warned and made room for the unexpected man to climb the stairs
As soon as Mal laid eyes on him she was startled and when he threatened to greet her, she turned around and ran to the farthest room of the building she called home.
"Mal."
Jay looked at his sister running and immediately went after her.
"Wow!" Carlos said and ended the silence that had been since Mal left. "Sorry, it's just that her hair is really... it's really blue."
"Was that her boyfriend?"
Hades asked.
"No, that's Jay, they're friends, we're friends of hers actually."
Evie said and pointed at her and Carlos, which brought everyone's eyes on the man who at that moment was as red as the boots of the Evil Queen's daughter.
"I suppose it must be Benjamin."
Hades said looking at the brown-haired boy and being completely sure that he was his daughter's boyfriend.
"It's nice to meet you."
Few times in his life had he felt so afraid. He held out his hand to Hades who shook it tightly, he felt that his hand felt like a piece of paper in the former god's hand
"Everyone introduced, we need to talk."
Rashid warned dragging Hades into the building.

"Get out Jay!"
Mal asked walking back and forth.
"No, I'm not leaving here without you, so stop walking and let's talk."
"You're not the boss of me."
"But as your friend I'm asking you to come." Jay took a breath and even though he wasn't very sentimental came closer to her and stopped his fast paced steps. "Listen, I know it's a lot for you, that all that stuff with your mom was already too much and adding your dad to it just makes it worse." He took her hand and held it firmly. "We'll be here all the time, I'll be here." The girl for the first time that day was able to breathe peacefully. "Can we go?"
