Of all the pleasures that life had given him this was the best, to have a son. A beautiful boy. A little boy with large, clear eyes and brown hair. The crown prince to the throne that...

"He inherited well more than he asked for. In his list of wants there was never a kingdom, but the boy adapted. He has learned to live with that heavy weight on his head."

"Welcome to the world Ben."

Belle talked happy to have the baby in her arms.

"I still can't believe he is real."

Adam said containing his emotion.

"Yes, look at him, a little prince."

"Yeah, he the prince and heir of Auradon."

"Adam!"

"What? That's right, you read the laws too, our descendants are to be the rulers of Auradon, until, it is decided otherwise."

"Yeah, I know, but he doesn't need to be surrounded by so much information, not just yet."

"Okay, not for now, but just know Benjamin, soon you will put on a crown and be king. My son, king of the United States of Auradon."

Fairy Godmother was tasked with translating what Circe had said to Adam, what made it difficult was the fact that she didn't hear it herself and according to the king the language was unknown. All she had were the words he had thought he heard. Perhaps, the right thing to do would be to let it go, and Fairy Godmother would leave it behind, if she didn't like challenges so much. That would certainly take a lot more than a day's work.

A year and a half later

It was unbelievable, until that moment his discovery about what that witch had said was minimal. It didn't matter, she could have worked all day at school, but every time she could she returned to her writings. Besides, to Adam's dismay again Circe had disappeared from the map. No sign of her in any province, how could a woman disappear like that?

"Fairy Godmother, excuse me."

One of the teachers from the school came to call her.

"Yes?" She was so focused on reading the third ancient language book that she didn't even hear the door. "Hi, you can come in." She took the huge reading glasses off her face and gave way for the boy to enter the room appropriately. "Can I help you?"

"Yes, the reports from the Isle of the Lost have arrived." The man handed her the huge sheets. "Oh, and Yen Sid sent you that letter."

"Okay, thank you."

With so many kingdoms to manage and a son of just under a year old, Adam and Belle asked her to take over the Isle of the Lost. Which involved, not letting the villains escape, as if that were possible, among other things.

She took the documents. It wasn't a big deal. The papers reported on the amount of people on the island, the food that went, medicine that could be sent, among some bureaucratic matters. However, this report involved the annual trip of a doctor there, which it seemed would have to be advanced, since, to the total surprise of the monarchy and the fairy, the villains were having children. And with the amount of mortality, it was decided as well to send the man there.

Fairy Godmother sorted the most urgent documents into one pile, recommendations into another, complaints into another, and then went to read the letter. Yen Sid was not one to send letters very often; for this to happen, something very serious must have happened.

"Fairy Godmother,

As I told you in the reports, some villains are having children. Don't ask me with whom, because I have abdicated those details, but apparently some madman decided to have a child with Maleficent. My bets are between Hades and a bank robber from Corona, she was seeing both of them, but I won't be the one to ask about the paternity of this child. The imposing dragon was now locked in the house complaining of foot pains and nausea, a funny scene I confess, since all I know about her is what I've been told, she doesn't seem scary to me.

Well, the child, which is the subject of this letter. She was born prematurely. One month ahead of schedule. On the day of birth everything was a terrible mess, I don't think I have ever witnessed a birth like this. Despite the fact that the child came early, everything went well. The baby girl was not born with horns, thank God, in fact I dare say she is a beautiful little baby. She seems too pure to live in this trashy place. Her mouth is tiny as a princess and her eyes are as green as her mother's, but hers are so intense that they give me the creeps. She was born with a dragon mark on her left forearm and her few hairs are purple, a sign of magic. However, since she will never leave the island, I don't think we should worry, especially when we don't know if this child will survive. From what it seems to me, she is half fairy, and to be born here without any contact with magic seems to doom her to certain death, besides being the daughter of that.

I'm afraid the saddest part of this story was that Maleficent didn't develop any emotional bond with her daughter, there is no love there, unfortunately. I feel for the child, who is a really lovely baby, if it wasn't for the hair, I would say she could live normally with Auradonian nobility. Well, that's it, we shouldn't worry now, it obviously has magic in its veins, but it won't use it, you Auradonians are safe. The lady will think the baby's name is funny. Maleficent, thinking she is superior to everyone else, gave her daughter her own name, but said that the girl will only use this name when she is worthy of it, for now it's just Mal. Maleficent's sweet daughter is named Mal, funny that such a lovely creature is born from that being, don't you think?

Ass: Yen Sid.

Fairy Godmother had gotten used to the news of babies being born, but the news of a son by Maleficent took the problem to a slightly worse level. However, she had more problems to worry about, after all it seemed that the prince of Auradon had been "cursed" and if that was indeed the case, at any moment the curse would become real.

Unknown Place

Cedric was happily reading the pages of the book taking shape. Every day more and more words appeared, pictures were few. Incredibly, Cedric already knew what they would look like when they were sixty, but no pictures from now. His keen curiosity was being quenched with a new chapter that was beginning.

"Come here Felix, another chapter." He called out to the cat, who jumped on his lap as if he too could read what was contained in the book. "Look at this: "Her cradle was not made of gold and her dreams were not sweet. The royalty in her life came in evil ways, as did her blood. That was the truth, her blood was laden with a lineage of those who had done nothing but evil so far. However, she didn't ask for that." Interesting, don't you think Felix? Well, as far as I can see, she is not a princess. How far apart were their worlds?"
