I was shaking like hell!
“Love! Matagal ka pa dyan?” isang katok at ang boses ni Sab ang gumulat sa akin. “N-nope, I'm almost done,”
I decided to run inside the bathroom and checked my face for a while in the vanity before I rushed in front of the toilet because I felt like vomiting due to nervousness. I stood and smoothened the crease of my gown.
“O sige, Mauna na akong bumaba, sunod ka na rin ah,”
“Y-yes, sige lang, una ka na,”
I tried to rely on the methods I memorized and often do when I'm nervous. Unfortunately, either one of them didn't work to calm me.
“Relax, Reina, it's your wedding day,” I muttered to myself before fixing my hair and trying to smile in front of the mirror.
“Everything's gonna be fine, trust me,” another self-motivating phrase before I left the bathroom and headed out of the suite.
Everyone was waiting for me. The crew I mean, most of the people who were part of the entourage were already on their way to the church. I saw Sab talking to Ms Joyce, the wedding planner before they looked up in my direction.
I schooled a smile, trying to maintain my cool then walked as gracefully as I could down the staircase. One of the staff helped me with my long train at the back. The photographer kept their cameras on me while I walked.
Much like I wanted to keep it cool, but WTF, my knees were wobbly. I needed to stop halfway to steady my feet. Then I posed for the camera.
“You look so gorgeous Baby Rei!”
Napalingon ako kay Jecka. He was here, he should be at the venue right now, what is he doing here?
“Oh Gianna, look! Si Baby Reina!” he poised his new phone and showed me the other side of the video call.
“OMG! Ang ganda mo!”
Medyo natuwa ako habang humahakbang pababa. Naka-video kasi ang pagbaba ko ng hagdan, kasama sa package kaya kailangan poise lang. Kaso nung makita ko ang mukha ni Gianna sa phone ni Jecka, napalakad ako sa direksiyon nito.
“Bakit di ka dumating? May invitation ako sa 'yo ah,”
“Sorry na, nagkaproblema kasi ang passport ni Hon, di kami umabot kahapon sa flight namin, bukas pa ang available kaya c-in-ancel ko na lang,”
“Nakakainis 'yang asawa mo, i-divorce mo na nga yan,” naparolyo pa ako ng mga mata na ikinatawa nilang pareho ni Jecka.
“Sorry na, gusto mo kita na lang tayo dito, sa Europe din naman ang honeymoon n'yo, treat na lang kita,”
“Sige, usapan 'yan ah, 'wag mong isama ang asawa mo para matuloy,”
“Hoy! Sinong dapat hindi isama?!” sumilip naman ang asungot. “Pasalamat ka, kasal mo ngayon,”
“Namo ka, Arthur!”
Lalong tumawa ang dalawa at ipinakita pa ang buhat na anak. “Butchikik, si Ninang oh,”
“Palitan mo naman ang palayaw mo sa anak mo, nakakabuwisit ka! Inaanak ko yan,”
Tumawa lang lalo si Gianna. “Oy, Rei, good luck, wish ko sana maging merry ang marriage life mo at sana bigyan ka kaagad ng baby para may kalaro na si Kai kapag umuwi kami sa Pilipinas,”
“Naku, mas feel ko kung nandito ka, mas masaya ako, pero thank you, ingat kayo dyan ah, 'wag mong wrestling-in ang anak mo, Arthuro! Bibigwasan kita,”
