The revelers were shouting when we did our grand exit. We finally put the reception to a close, saying goodbyes to our guests and our principal sponsors. The guests started to disperse, and the staff of the hotel ushered the VIPs to their cars and some to their suites upstairs.
Ate Rossanne and her husband, Kuya Vincent decided to go home after two days and one night stay at the hotel, as well as Tita Theresa, Tito Armaund and their son. The Morales-Aguirre fam decided to stay with us at the hotel for one more night.
I decided to walk them out, before my husband and I went to our after-party.
“Are you sure you're still good to drive?”
“I just took a few glasses, those won't make me tipsy,”
“You're not getting younger, Hon,” then she looked at Primo who was fondling his nephew. “Primo, ikaw na ang mag-drive,”
“Ha? Why?
“If you want, I'll drive you home, Ma,” Kuya Vincent suggested, handing over the breast pump device to his wife.
“She's too excited that's why,” Ate Rossanne smartly spoke then took her baby from her brother.
Saka ako lumapit at yumakap. “You take care of yourself, take care of your home and take good care of your husband,”
"Yes, Tito Pogi,”
He chuckled then patted my arm. “We should be going,”
“We'll go ahead, the car is waiting for us,” usal ni Tita Theresa.
Now I know what tito means earlier.
“C'mon old folks, the car is ready,” Primo blurted out while jiggling the car key.
