Baby & The Ilus: Oneshot

Summary: Miles & Sok'anya bring seven month year old baby Ignacia to the water and meeting the ilus.

Six Ikrans landed on shore. Sok'anya and Spider slid down from Sefah. Miles got down from Cupcake while holding his baby close to his chest. "Dadada!" Ignacia babbles as she turns her head as the chief and Tsahik approach them.

"I see you, Tonowari and Ronal" They all greeted with the hand gesture. Tonowari smiled widely and greeted back. "I see you Sok'anya...Spider"

"Welcome back all of you" Ronal smiles and turned her head towards Miles who was holding Ignacia. "I see you, Ignacia" the tsahik reached her hand out to hold the baby's. She had five fingers just like her father.

Ignacia babbled to Ronal and took her fingers, bringing it towards her mouth. Miles laughed lightly "No no Ignacia, don't do that" he separated Ignacia's hands from Ronal which made the baby's lips tremble then broke into a crying fit.

Miles panicked for a moment before holding his hands out for his daughter who immediately took his index finger to suck on. Ronal looked at the baby's behavior and glared at the recom. "She must be hungry"

Miles raised his eyebrow "She just ate"

Ja cleared his throat and walked over to them "It's uh...self soothing reflex for babies after eating. Uh...it brings comfort and relaxation for them physically and mentally"

Miles slowly turned his head towards the medic "Did I ask?"

"You should know. You're welcome" Ja smiled and patted him on the shoulder. "AYY! AMIGOS! WHERE IS THE PRINCESS?" Shouted a familiar voice. It's been a thing where this guy only greets the baby before anyone else.

"Uh oh, Uncle Victor is coming. He is so excited to see you!" Alicia giggled as she tickled the baby making her laugh. "Ven con el tio!" Lopez walked over to the group with his arms out ready to hold his niece.

"Aah!" Ignacia excitedly wiggled in the carrier as she stretched her arms out wanting to be held by her Uncle. "Aww there goes the sweet girl! How are you?" Victor takes her out from the carrier as he held her close to the tattoos on his chest. "Bababa!" The baby reached up to grab his nose.

"She loves me"

"Yeah?" Miles laughed as he shakes his head. "We have baby ilu's. Would she like to see them?" Tonowari offered. Sok'anya and Miles looked at each other and back at the chief. "I'm sure she will like them" She replied. "Tsireya and Kesone are with them. She can meet him too" Ronal smiled.

"Oh how lovely! She can meet little Kesone—where did Spider go?" Sok'anya looked around. "He's with the Sully's" Prager tells her. "Oh alright, let's go take her to the ilu's" Sok'anya gets her baby back from Victor. "Ah!" Ignacia cried out as she makes grabby hands.

"Uncle Victor will see you later okay? Go see the baby ilus. They are adorable just like you" Lopez pokes her nose gently as the baby sniffles with teary eyes on her lashes.

The couple take their daughter towards the water and joined Tsireya who was holding her little brother Kesone. "Oh Sok'anya, Miles, Welcome back!" The teenage girl waved to the couple. She gasped at the sight of Ignacia and smiled brightly "Oh my goodness, hello Ignacia! You've grown so much! You were so tiny when you were first born" Tsireya approached them. "Kesone, this is Ignacia" she introduced her little brother to the other little baby.

Ignacia looked at Kesone with a head tilt and then looked up at her mother and then turn her head towards her Dad who had his arms crossed raising an eyebrow at her. "What you thinkin' girl?" He asked. Ignacia cracked a smile and covered her face and hid in her mom's chest.

Sok'anya looked at Tsireya, "She doesn't like baths. I'm not sure if she would like swimming..." she gulped.

"It'll be alright. She should still experience the water. She doesn't need to go underneath it"

Sok nods as she carefully lowered Ignacia down into the water. Ignacia was confused for a moment but when she felt the water at her hip level she started panicking, her legs kicked underneath the water but her mom was still holding her. "Mama!" She cried looking up at her mom.

"It's okay beautiful one. Kesone is with you" Tsireya settled her brother into the water who was floating above the surface. Ignacia froze watching the other baby float. She was confused how this baby wasn't afraid but she was and watching another baby do this made her scare. Not for herself but for him. "Mama! Mama!" She pointed as she cried again. The baby was expressing her worry for Kesone thinking he was in danger.

"It's okay! it's okay Ignacia, he is not in trouble. He is swimming" Sok tells her softly. Soon, the baby ilu's swam towards them and that's when Ignacia had stopped panicking. One of the ilu's approached her curiously.

Ignacia reached her hand out to the baby ilu that sniffed her hand before rubbing its head against her hand wanting to be pet. Ignacia smiled brightly as Tsireya demonstrated for the baby to pet the animal gently.

A few gentle pets, Ignacia giggled happily as she splashed around her. Sok'anya and Miles had the look of relief on their faces watching their daughter interact with the ilus and the water itself. She was doing well now. Maybe when she's a bit older they will try to teach her to swim.
