as they walked back to the dorm, hanni couldn't help but feel guilty. she knew that her feelings for y/n were causing problems in her relationship with danielle, and she didn't know how to fix it.
she had second thoughts on wanting to try to get together with y/n, now that danielle and her relationship was on the edge.
she didn't know what to do. she didn't want to hurt them, but she couldn't help but feel selfish.
"hanni, can i sleep over with you?" y/n asked as she got changed.
"yeah, sure."
they got ready and settled in bed. hanni felt her heart pounding rapidly against her ribcage. she was facing y/n, and they just stared at each other in a comfortable silence.
"y/n. i'm really sorry about earlier. i don't know what got into me."
"it's okay, hanni. it's not your fault. i just wish danielle would trust me more."
"but the cause of that, is still me. i tried to kiss you. i was going to kiss you. if she didn't see that, maybe... maybe you two would be okay."
"maybe. but it really isn't your fault. it can be hard to control feelings sometimes. that one time before i started dating danielle, i kissed her cheek out of nowhere."
"that's different. i tried to kiss you when i knew you were in a relationship."
"still, feelings can't be helped."
"i'm just sorry."
as they lay there in silence, y/n reached out and gently pulled hanni towards her, wrapping her arms around her in a warm embrace.
hanni couldn't help but relax into the embrace, feeling the tension in her body melt away as she snuggled closer to y/n.
"do you think, i stand a chance with you?"
"with me? are you seriously confessing right now when i just broke up?"
"i thought i would give it a shot. i just, really like you. but i don't want to hurt danielle, or you."
y/n pulled away slightly, looking at hanni with a soft expression. "i just got out of a relationship, i will need some time."
"that's okay, i understand. i'll be here when you are ready."

y/n avoided danielle for the next couple of days, weeks, months. they pretended to act as if they were fine in front of their managers and on tv.
meanwhile, hanni and y/n spent more time together. hanni was glad that y/n seemed happier than before.
then, y/n unexpectedly asked hanni out. "hanni, i think i'm ready now. let's date."
"really? this is not just because of danielle, right?"
"no... after spending so much time with you, i feel happy. i enjoy your company, and i think, i started developing feelings for you."
hanni felt her heart skip a beat at y/n's confession. she had been waiting for this moment for so long, but she couldn't help feeling a little nervous.
"y/n, are you sure? i don't want to rush into anything if you're not ready."
"i'm sure, hanni. i want to be with you. and i know it won't be easy, but i'm willing to take that risk."
hanni felt a sense of warmth and happiness spread through her body at y/n's words. she had waited for this moment for so long, and now it was finally happening.
they started dating, and it wasn't long before they became inseparable.

danielle stood in the corner of the practice room, watching as hanni and y/n giggled while kissing.
it made her blood boil. she rushed towards them and pulled hanni up.
"why did you have to steal y/n away from me?"
"i didn't steal her from you, you drove her away from you."
"our relationship was fine before you stepped in!"
"it's not my fault!"
y/n sighed. she hadn't talked to danielle for months. now she was there, fighting hanni, over her.
"stop fighting," she went to them and pulled hanni into her embrace.
"stop fighting is all you can say after months of not talking to me? i cannot believe you y/n."
"i have nothing to say to you."
"y/n, i missed you, a lot. can't we just go back to how it used to be?"
"no, danielle. i don't want to. i do miss you too, but, going back is just... it will just feel different. i'm happy with hanni now... happier than... than when i was with you," y/n said, whispering the last part.
"you weren't happy with me?"
"i was, but i... i just... it just hurtto be in a relationship where I felt like I couldn't be myself fully. I don't want to go back to that."
danielle looked down, feeling defeated. she knew that she couldn't force y/n to be with her if her heart wasn't in it anymore.
"i understand," she said softly.
y/n hugged her gently, and danielle hugged her back. it was a bittersweet moment, but they both knew that it was time to move on.
