minji had been in a relationship with hanni for almost two years when hanni suddenly broke up with her, claiming that she had lost feelings for her.
minji was crushed and didn't know how to cope with the heartbreak. she turned to their mutual friend, y/n, for comfort, and y/n was happy to be there for her.
at first, y/n thought that minji just needed a friend to talk to, but as time went by, she realised that minji was making advances on her.
when they were alone, minji leaned in and tried to kiss y/n, taking her by surprise.
"minji, we can't do that. you just broke up..."
y/n tried to push minji away, but minji's lips were already on hers, and y/n found herself kissing her back. it felt wrong, but at the same time, it felt so right.
after the kiss, minji looked at y/n with a mix of hope and fear in her eyes. "please, y/n. i know i messed up with hanni, but i can't help how i feel about you. i want to be with you."
y/n hesitated, but she couldn't help but feel weak at minji's words.
"ok, fine. we can try," y/n whispered and minji smiled at her as a response. she leaned in to kiss y/n again, and they continued making out for the rest of the night.
over time, the both of them secretly met up with each other. it was then, hanni called y/n and asked to hang out.
y/n agreed, feeling a bit uneasy.
they met up at a bar, chatting over drinks. y/n was uncomfortable as hanni is her friend, and minji's ex. and she was also secretly meeting up with minji.
"y/n... i miss minji. i still miss her. i don't know what got to me... i am so stupid. i let her go too early," hanni slurred.
"what?"
"i have been texting her, trying to win her back... her reaction seems positive... but i just feel sad and miss her," hanni cried, stumbling into y/n's arms.
y/n hugged hanni, lost in her thoughts. minji was texting hanni behind her back. she was very heartbroken by the revelation.
"sorry hanni, i gotta go."
y/n excused herself and headed to the bathroom, feeling overwhelmed by the emotions swirling inside her. as she closed the bathroom door, she took a deep breath and tried to calm herself down.
but as she stepped forward, her foot slipped on a wet patch on the floor. she tried to grab onto something to steady herself, but her hand slipped, and she hit her head hard on the bathroom sink.
the next thing y/n knew, she was lying on the bathroom floor, unconscious. she had hit her head so hard that she was knocked out cold.
minutes later, hanni walked into the bathroom, looking for y/n. when she saw y/n lying unconscious on the floor, she panicked.
"oh my god, y/n! wake up!" hanni yelled, shaking y/n's shoulders.
but y/n didn't respond. she was completely out cold, and hanni knew that she needed to get help fast.
she ran out of the bathroom and found a security guard, explaining the situation to him. within minutes, paramedics arrived on the scene and rushed y/n to the hospital.
hanni was beside herself with worry as she waited for news about y/n's condition. she couldn't believe that something like this had happened, and she felt guilty for not being there to prevent it.
finally, a doctor came out and explained that y/n had suffered a concussion from the fall. she would need to be monitored closely and would need to stay in the hospital for a few days.
hanni was relieved to hear that y/n was going to be okay, but she couldn't shake off the feeling of guilt and worry. she knew that she needed to be there for y/n as she recovered from her injury.
—
"oh my god! y/n, are you okay?" minji came rushing in to the hospital.
y/n turned to look at her and nodded. "i'm fine."
"thank god... hanni? what are you doing here?" minji asked nervously.
"i was the one who was with y/n."
"i see..." minji said, going to hold y/n's hand. y/n slapped her hand away and glared at her.
"minji, go away."
"what's wrong?"
"minji... hanni told me you texted her while we were together? is it true? you were only using me as a rebound."
y/n's voice was laced with anger and hurt. minji looked down, unable to meet y/n's gaze. "yes, it's true. i'm sorry, y/n. i didn't mean to hurt you."
y/n sighed, feeling a mix of emotions. she was angry at minji for using her, but she also felt sorry for her. she knew that minji was struggling with her feelings for hanni, and she couldn't imagine how hard it must be for her.
"look, minji. i don't know what to say. i thought we had something real, but it turns out you were just using me as a rebound. i can't be with someone who treats me like that."
minji nodded, tears streaming down her face. "i understand, y/n. i messed up, and i'm sorry. i'll leave you alone now."
y/n watched as minji walked out of the hospital room, feeling a sense of sadness wash over her. she knew that she had to move on from minji, but it wasn't going to be easy.
hanni walked over to y/n and sat down next to her bed. "hey, how are you feeling?"
y/n smiled weakly. "i'm okay. thanks for being here, hanni."
hanni took y/n's hand and squeezed it gently. "of course, y/n. i care about you."
y/n felt a warmth spread through her chest at hanni's words. she knew that hanni was there for her, and she felt grateful for her friendship.
as she lay in the hospital bed, y/n thought about the events that had led her there. she knew that she had to move on from minji and focus on her own healing. and with hanni by her side, she knew that she could do it.
