Ella P.O.V.
"No fair! don't go please", I whined for the hundredth time this morning, giving my mates my best puppy eyes.
"We don't want to go either bub, but you know we got a pack to run", Jace said while tying up the laces on his shoes- doing a bad job at it might I add. Today was the day I guess the supposed honeymoon period came to an end. My mates had to go back to their posts and run the pack, I didn't like them going away one bit. I'd be left all alone at home for another two weeks since the healer's program I'd enrolled for doesn't start till then.
"I know--", I whined, understanding their situation but not happy about it.
"We'll link you throughout the day, I promise angel", Grey said coming up behind me to give me a hug. I look up at him and nod seeing the sincerity in his eyes. He looked so hot in formal clothes, just like he did on the day of my Luna ceremony.
"Okay, I'll see you tonight then", I said half-heartedly.
"See you, angel, bye", Cami came over and gave me a kiss. They all said their goodbyes and left for work in the pack house.
I'd already had breakfast when Jace cooked this morning, so I decided to take a bath now, a long long bath. Taking a change of clothes from my own room and filling up the tub in my bathroom, since the big tub in our shared room would take too much water for one person, I headed in. I even finally got to use one of those sweet-smelling bath bombs Cami got for me as a late birthday present.
Now what.
Oh! I could visit Jenn and baby Nick, I've only gotten to visit the pup like thrice since he was born, what kind of an aunt am I? (a/n- for those who don't remember, reach chapter- COMFORT)
Yes, that's a good idea, I thought as I called Jenn.
"Ella sweetie, hey?", she said in her soothing big-sister voice I'd begun to miss.
"Hey Jennie, how is everything? How's the little boy?", I asked.
"Well, he's mad you haven't visited in a month"
Giggling nervously I said, "Yep, that's what I called you about. Can I come over?".
"You never have to ask honey, just show up at my doorstep with a bottle of wine and we'll have a girl's night", she said.
"It's 10 in the morning and you have to take care of Nick, maybe we reserve girl's night for when your mate is home", I said back with sass.
"Oh- well then I supposed we could also invite dumb Derek", she grumbled.
"Yes! All three of us together. Be there in an hour.", I said and she agreed before cutting the call.

Derek and I reached Jenn's house at the same time, he gave me a hug and then an earful about not seeing him more. I suppose I did neglect my family a bit during the honeymoon period with my mates. I'll keep in mind to spend more time with them, maybe even visit Mom and dad a few times during the two weeks I'm home.
"Quit chatting on my porch and get your asses in, both of you", Jenn screamed through the closed door. We giggled and rolled our eyes at her, lucky that the door was closed and Jenn couldn't see.
Derek opened the door for me, fortunately, he was home for now, I hardly got to see him since he became a drifter last year much to my parents' displeasure. "How's my favorite nephew?", he said while cooing at Nick who looked at him blankly.
