"Perfect," Val smiles, "It's comfy but also so fucking cute," she winks, "French girlies have such good fashion," she sighs, looking at me with shining eyes as I shake my head and look at my mirror.
I'm wearing the thinnest black tights we could find, paired with a black mini skirt and white knitted blouse. I decided to tuck my blouse into the skirt and stole one of Carlos' oversized black leather jackets to finish the look.
"You're so pretty!" Adelyn squeals, hugging me tightly as I laugh.
She lets me go and I run a hand through my hair, brushing it one last time before letting it hang loosely down my back.
I hear a soft meow and look down to find Duchess rubbing against my ankles, her tail tangled between my legs.
"Ah my little niece," I gush, picking up the purring cat as I hug her.
Out of all the gifts I've given Adelyn, Duchess was definitely the best one.
"Good luck," Adelyn whispers, taking her cat from me and giving me one last kiss on the cheek before I hug her and Val and slip into my black wedge boots, hurrying as I've already left Carlos waiting 15 minutes.
I rush downstairs and smile when I see him leaning against the front entrance. I take advantage of him not seeing me and scan my eyes down his outfit.
He's wearing black dress pants and a black button-up, much more formal than I've ever seen him.
His silver rings stand out against his olive skin and his bright blue eyes suddenly meet mine, his face breaking into a grin as he sees me.
"You look so gorgeous my Fia," he murmurs, putting his arm out as I walk over to him. I blush and lean up as he kisses me.
"Mi niña bonita," he says, kissing me softly as he loops an arm around my waist.
I smile against his lips as I lean into his touch, waiting for him to collect his blazer before we walk outside into the crisp January air.
I hug Carlos' jacket tighter around me as he opens the passenger side door for me, shutting it as I sit down and going over to the drivers side.
He gets in and locks the car, starting it as he places a hand on my thigh. I interlock our fingers together as Carlos pulls out of the garage and drives out of the estate.
"Can you tell me where we're going now?" I ask, knowing that the answer will be no.
"That'll ruin the surprise amore," he chuckles, shaking his head.
"At least tell me how long until we get there," I try to bargain.
"40 minute drive, so get comfy," he winks at me, causing a blush to creep up my neck.
I can't fucking wait.

I gasp when I see the well lit garden Carlos pulls up to, the carpark empty as he stops the car.
He gets out of the car and opens my door for me, helping me out as I take in the beautiful scenery.
Large gates separate us from the garden, sunken in old vines and coated in flowers, making it truly a magnificent sight.
Carlos places an arm around my waist and the gates open, revealing a dirt trail, weaving between a forest landscape.
I smile as Carlos begins to walk inside the gates, still not telling me where we are.
"There's an outdoor restaurant down the trail a bit, I think you'll like it," he murmurs, pressing a kiss into my forehead.
I hum in response, too captivated by the forest's beauty to regulate a response. I let out a gasp when I hear the familiar screeching of an owl.
