I've been walking around this god forsaken mall for what feels like fucking forever and I still haven't found the perfect gift for my Fia.

I've been to what feels like every shop and I can't find anything that I think she'll love. I stop in front of what looks like the last shop I deem acceptable to buy from. That is, the last high end store which is good enough for my Fia to wear.

I walk in and start looking around, taking the time to look at each item of jewellery properly, sighing when each one seems to be more disappointing than the last.

"Can I help you with anything sir?" a friendly voice asks me, forcing me to turn around as I force a smile to my lips.

"I'm just looking around for now, thank you though," I say, my tongue poking the inside of my cheek when the woman only hums in response, her eyes flicking around my face.

"Actually, I'm looking for a Christmas gift for my girlfriend, do you have any suggestions?" I ask, butterflies swarming my stomach as I call Ophelia my girlfriend.

"We have a selection of necklaces over here, they're quite simple but elegant. I got one for my girlfriend last year and she loved it," the girl smiles, leading me over a glass cabinet.

I smile and nod, thanking her as she walks off to help another customer.

I carefully look at each necklace, my breath catching in my lungs as one catches my gaze.

It's a pretty gold necklace, a small gold plate with an owl carved into it. In other words, fucking perfect. And the description says it's pure gold, only the best for my Fia.

I look around for the same girl who helped me earlier and she sees me, smiling as she walks over. "Have you found one?" she asks, taking the key off her lanyard to unlock the cabinet.

"The owl one," I nod, pointing to it over the glass. "Good choice, it's very pretty," the woman gushes, unlocking the cabinet before removing the necklace the handing it to me. "Perfect," I murmur, turning it over in my hands.

"Paying now?" the woman asks, and I nod and hand the necklace back to her as we walk over to the register.

"That will be $30,000," the lady smiles, scanning my face as I nod and take out my black Amex card. It's honestly cheaper than I thought it would be, but I would buy my Fia the world if she asked me to.

"Would you like me to wrap it for you?" the girl asks, and I nod as tuck my card into my wallet.

I watch the woman as she wraps the necklace in black tissue paper, folding it prettily before sliding it into a small white bag with black ribbons, tying the ribbon before handing it to me.

"I hope you and your girlfriend have a happy Christmas," she smiles as I take the bag, I smile at her, "You too," I reply, before turning and walking out of the store.

You fucking too?

She said she has a girlfriend so it's not weird.

I sigh and look at the small bag in my hand, wondering whether or not I should get more, it is pretty small. Maybe I should get her some flowers to go with it? And I'll get Clarisse some flowers too, since she let me crash their family Christmas.

I choose to get the flowers on Christmas Eve so they don't wilt before Christmas, and get Clarisse a set of earrings whilst I'm here.

I start walking aimlessly around until I see something I like, realising how strange I look. Covered head to toe in tattoos, black jeans and t-shirt and small bag with ribbons in hand; a fucking sight for sore eyes.
