There was a knock on my door.

"Can we talk?"

I hear his voice.

"It's open."

I sit up. Satoru walks in.

"Hey."

"Hey. I thought you left."

"Not yet. I think all this flying is finally catching up to me."

He chuckles lowly.

"How long have you been doing this? I don't think I have all of my memories back."

"Six months."

My eyes grow wide.

"Six-and you're still here?" He nods.

"Thank you but you shouldn't have. Your girlfriend is really supportive. I would've told you to stop. Not to sound malicious or accuse you of anything but because you're sacrificing a lot. Your time with her and it must've effected your job."

"No. I balanced it all. I made sure to stay awake and spent time with her when she got home. Went on dates. Took on more cases. Still the Equalizer."

"You must be tired."

He nods in agreement.

"I am. But it's worth it so I can't complain."

"Why are you doing this?"

"To see it through and through."

"You're really sweet. I cannot thank you enough for all you've done for me, even though I cannot remember everything. And I'm sorry about Diavian's behavior. I don't know what's gotten into her."

"That's what I wanted to talk to you about."

I look up at him.

"About what?"

"I have one reason why she's like this."

"What's that?"

"She's in love with you."

"She's what?"

"No I'm kidding. Well she might be I'm not sure. But it's actually about me. She noticed something."

"Noticed what?"

"That I was attracted to you."

I roll my eyes.

"Okay you can stop joking."

I laugh. I look up at him. He wasn't laughing and his face was serious. I stop laughing.

"I'm not joking. I was drawn to you."

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"Because you just got out of a nasty relationship and lost your son. I don't prey on people especially vulnerable women. Coming to your therapy sessions, I got to know you more. When I asked you if your soulmate was next to you, what would you do, I was referring to me. I moved on because the last thing you needed is another involvement with another man."

"Satoru..." I trail off. He kiss my forehead.

"If you want to know, I only have eyes for Aoi."

"Does Aoi know this?"
