Shadow: The Nanites are the microscopic machines designed to save mankind by eliminating diseases and starvation across the entire world.

Zero: Pretty simple really, or at least it was supposed to be because unfortunately these Nanites spread across the world and instead of curing diseases they made them even worse by turning all living things to horrifying monsters. Jesus they look terrifying.

Shadow: These are Exponentially Variegated Organisms or EVOs for short, they are life forms created when Nanites activated on the inside of their bodies creating and accelerating mutations at the genetic level. In order to combat these threats an organization called Providence was formed to counterattack these EVOs.

Zero: And they have the greatest weapon to do the job this weapon was so secret they have to keep said secret from the world but when that weapon is unleashed oh ho ho thats where the fun begins.

Shadow: The secret weapon Providence houses is an EVO unlike any other, the teenage superhero, Rex Salazar.

Zero starts humming the intro music.

Zero: (singing) So make way, to start the revolution! Make way, we'er gonna have fun tonight! Make way, to start the revolution, let loose and everything will be alright! Make way, to start the revolution! Make way, to start the revolution! make way to start the revolution! SO MAKE WAY!! (stops singing) Ah yes that intro is really badass.

Shadow: On the surface Rex may appear to be your average high schooler but in reality there's something more about him then meets the eye. Before all of this he was just a normal child living a normal life.

Zero: Rex has been living the happy life with his father, Rafael, his mother, Violeta, and his big bro, Caesar. All of his family were brilliant scientists who had traveled all over the world before Rex was even born which is why it was kinda hard for them to stick around due to all the work that they have.

Shadow: Nonetheless Rex loved his family dearly especially his brother. But his family had a reason for being away for most of the time as they were working on the Nanite Project a group of scientists where they use Nanites to save humanity from diseases worldwide.

Zero: One day the boy Rex found himself in an accident and his family desperate to save his life implanted Nanites in him and it work the people thought that it was a huge success that they decided to see if they can do it on the whole world and I'm pretty sure you can tell what happens next.

We see an explosion occur in the Nanite Event.

Zero: Yep. Careful what you wish for because somewhere around the line it will come back to bite you in the ass.

Shadow: Fortunately Rex survived the incident Unfortunately his entire family didn't and were dead and to top it all of he lost all memories of this incident.

Zero: Totally relatable so in order to get his memories back Rex joined Providence to kick some EVO ass and regain his memories for the next 5 years.

Shadow: Unlike most EVOs, Rex doesn't turn into giant rampage monsters as a result of the Nanites changing him in fact it's the exact opposite.

Zero: He can weaponize these babies into any machine he wants like giant fists, legs, something he can fly with, or even a hover motorcycle.

Shadow: And thanks to his unique abilities Rex can also use it to cure other EVOs turning the victims back to normal. However if they don't have any Nanites in their systems it won't work.

Zero: Hey Shadow do you think do think I can use Nanites like that?

Shadow: Not unless you unless you want to turn into a violent monster EVO.

Zero: Uh Shadow you do realize I'm a robot right? And EVOs don't work on robots like me.

Shadow: Fair point but still too risky especially since you have been possessed by the Maverick Virus.

Zero: Hey don't worry it'll be worth the risk besides I know you and X will save me.

Shadow: Suit yourself.

Zero: Thanks buddy. Anyways I'm going to test out the Nanites and if I turn out to be fine we'll come back next time to go over Rex's opponent Bronya Zaychik.
