i can't help pawing through the literary recommendations from the vendor at the shop. the literature suggests that humans influenced alasians in the beginning by bringing alchemy from the other world to this one. the humans and alasians crafted new recipes using those from the other world and blending them with magical herbs that were strictly alasian. no one knows where the plants get their magical ability, many believe it is similar to crystals where they are formed by the magical nutrients in the ground.
this has me thinking. the ground? where is the magic's origin? before i would just write it off as the great plan of some god but now i'm not so sure. maybe the crystal core isn't such a fabled thing but rather it is something physical giving this place it's magical abilities. but how? and why? where is it? what is it?
i'm giving myself a head ache the longer i flip through the giant index of herbs. it's not just the herbs either. some abilities can be transitioned from alasian to candy form. there is the need for someone who can transfer powers. but finding a blank that specializes in transference is not an easy feet.
but it gives me another idea.
if i found someone to transfer energy from katie to a candy, maybe i could heal ken? then he can finally be free.
the thought makes me grin as i continue flipping through remedy after remedy. i need to know how to make these. what my limitations are. and who is going to help me bridge that gap. there has to be something in here that gives me a way forward.
the shuttle stops in the station and the others pull me away from my revelry.
but they can't get me completely out of my head.
if i want to be able to be in the same league as ken i need to step up my game. i need to find something that i can use in mass production that will be useful for the others. i bet i could take an easy candy to start with. i could try the night vision candies. if i want to make it fun i can figure out how to make it last longer. just for now.
let me start with something easy so that i can build the foundation to changing the world.
