the walls are long in this building and are connected by a staircase in this base. it's an odd set up. it makes me curious if the other base has this as well.

honestly my comerade and i haven't needed to exit the wall at all this level. although it's been so noisy outside i have been tempted, the more noise i hear the more i know we need the video monitors. my comerade agrees to staying in the wall until we get everything working on the inside so we keep going. it gets a little hard at times though because it is so noisy outside. i swear i hear someone even shout help me. it's odd thinking that someone would need help inside the base. the only reason they'd need help is if i accidentally unleashed the creatures on them again which i won't be doing. so i keep my mind fixed on the mission at hand, keeping myself from looking by focusing on the mission after the video monitors. the other monitors barricaded by a password.

and so we continue for a good four hour period. finally in a good position we exit the wall on the top floor where the command room should be. this is a mistake. it is a blood bath out here. they are fighting and fighting only they are fighting eachother. i look over to the stats board. many of those who had high stats at the beginning of the level have been dipping downward. they are losing points because they're killing eachother.

i shake my head. i'm so glad i was an only child, i think as we make our way to command. the command room is empty when we get there. eerily empty.

we make our way to the video monitors but almost no one is there. the only other time that was like this was when everyone was dying because of the creatures i released. i sigh and keep working on the video channel.

"what do you think happened?" my comerade looks towards me. and no, i still don't remember his name. he'll have to tell me it again.

i can't say i've ever been good with names but i'm usually a bit better than this. it's kind of shameful but i can't do anything about it. i'll just ask again when i get the chance.
