katie has just left to her next stop and i am left behind along with my comerade. he and i look at eachother. i've never thought of undermining tigris' confidence. i never thought katie was watching her that closely.
"she told me she was going to find out what imas plan is for this level so that she can mix her plan in," i shake my head. there's this terrifying energy i saw in katie's eyes when i saw her. an immense amount of thought was occurring behind her eyes. calculations and recalculations. all of the social skills i've thought she was missing she is exhibiting. she talked to the kid next to me. shook his hand. introduced herself. she feels like a breeze riding around the air, listening and weaving herself into the base. she is terrifying.
it was the moment at the end. the moment she looked me in the eye and said don't tell anyone this last part. i only want people i trust in control of that," and then with a smile she leaves. i didn't know she's been collecting people she trusts. i didn't know she had anyone like that.
i guess all i can do now is follow orders, she'll let me know the rest later.
speaking of which, my comerade has been silent for too long.
"so," i say to begin the conversation. no i have not had the balls to ask for his name again. "any thoughts on your mind?" i begin the conversation.
"so, do you believe her?" he asks quietly.
"about what?" i ask back.
"they want her to be the boss, but if she's the boss she'll be head of council in no time," he continues.
"i mean she could also fail," i smile back.
he blinks up at me in horror.
"it's just, if she succeeds it will mean he'll for everyone, her mother is a traitor after all," he continues.
ahhhh. so they won't back her because of her mom.
"is it just because of her mom that you guys think she's a traitor?" i am working on getting the cameras set up.
"i mean we all hated her last year too," he spits. there's this anger behind him. "we just didn't know why," he snarls.
"i thought that was because she was a blank like me, and besides she won that talent competition for everyone," i list off the good things she's done.
he looks unamused. "you think any of that trumps her mom being a worthless worm of a woman who murdered her own people and got away with it, what kind of justice system would it be if i didn't hate her guts?"
