every time i get a break from classes i'm in the library learning, but the more i look for information on the creatures the less i find. and that is the worst feeling yet. why is there so little here if they spent centuries with translators just like me among them? how can there be so little?
finally i'm so sick of it i ask the librarian. she gives me a little chuckle.
"girl, don't you remember what happened twenty years ago?" the librarian gave me a haughty stare. "the creatures destroyed the libraries before they waged war on us," she smiles knowingly.
"why did they burn everything?" i can't help the questions burning at my lips.
"why don't you go ask the creatures?" she laughs sardonically. i walk away. looks like i have no choice. but which creatures do i ask? they all are so different? safest bet is to ask all of them. well everyone but the cannaries. the cannaries live near level seven and we won't have access until level seven.
i guess that means i need to head back to the mall for more water breathing gummies, unless i visit the menta again. i head towards the topographical section of the library. there is a series of maps of the land. as long as the land is behind level four boundaries i can search for it. it seems there is an area of forest on the edge of level four. i know there are different communities of menta living in what we would consider towns. although these towns are built among the trees instead of near the ground. i hope they will give me answers. someone has to know something.
this thought brings me to my next classes. throughout the next period of time i drill my teachers on the creatures. i ask them anything i can come up with that might help me. a lot of the professors are surprised by my sudden internet in their classes. i just need to know how i'm going to figure out what happened and what is happening.
there's something that also has been on my mind lately. i haven't done much to try and take down tigris, but i haven't figured out how i'm going to defeat her yet. her power is bothersome. i would know, my mother is one. and my mother is the only reason this world is still standing.
