Chapter 49 Training

A few days later.

You were thinking about what to do. You didn't know how to take it, since watching the greybeard die kinda messed with you. After the funeral, you didn't know what to do. You spend the next 3 days trying to figure yourself out; avoiding your friends for a bit, trying to think about how you're going to win.

Back at the castle.

Star wakes up with a yawn. The birds chirped and Star turns over, to find out that you weren't there laying next to her.

Star: Y/N?

Chimpy than climbs down.

Chimpy: Y/N left a while ago; he said he needed some time to think. He didn't look too well. Are you sure we should have him out there on his own?

Star: where did he go, Chimpy?

Chimpy: he might be at the inn or something. I don't know where he is.

Star: he better not be drinking or anything. Mewnia before combined with earth had laws about drinking.

Star was about to get changed, but Tom comes in.

Tom: Star? Is everything okay? I've been waiting downstairs for Y/N for a while? I haven't spoken to him in 3 days; do you know where he is?

Star looks over at Tom as she got out of bed. Her socked feet touching the cold floor.

Star: Tom? What are you doing here?

Tom: I need to train with Y/N. He has that fight that's going to happen in a few months and he hadn't even started training. Where is he?

Star: Chimpy said he might at the inn or something. He's not been himself for a few days. Do you know where he might be at?

Tom: I think he could be at the one place that jack showed him. I'll have to look for him.

Star: what did Jack show him?

Tom: I'll go get him. For now, I need you to stand here and talk with your parents about this. This has been hard for all of us. Janna is also eating the leftovers with shaggy and Scooby, so you might wanna get them from stuffing their faces too much.

Star sighs and than makes her way downstairs.

Now at your POV.

You were in a cave of a mountain. There were holes that were letting in some light in, but it did little to nothing to lighten the mood for you. You look over at a rock and hit it. You managed to dent the rock a bit.

Y/N: what have I gotten myself into? What if he wins? I'll lose everything if I lose this fight. Ugh, why couldn't I just use my shout to save him?....

You than sit on the cold hard ground. You were trying to think of something, but normally the greybeard was the one to tell you things that you needed to do. You were about to give up all hope, so you stood up again and punch the rock again, and it dented again.

Tom: that's not the way to do it, Y/N.

You turn to see a shadow. You pull out a dagger. You couldn't see who that was, but the voice was familiar.

Y/N: whose there?

Tom: your punch is very good, but you hit the same area without giving a hook or upper cut. If you punch with the same move, than you're opponent will figure you out.
