Chapter 61 The profacy

Now continuing where we left off in the high elf office.

You and Star looked down at the image and you couldn't believe your eyes. It was like your whole world came crashing down.

Star: no way....

Y/N: this cannot be.....

You and Star were looking at you dying after you defeated sonic exe. You and Star were at a loss for words and didn't know what to say to eachother at this point, and that's when the high elf toke out another bottle of mead and started to drink it up.

High elf: I knew you kids would react like this, but this is the way it has to be. Believe me, I tried everything to see if there was an alternate outcome, but you're going to die, Y/N, I am so sorry.....if I could trade places with you, than I would.

Star than slams her hands down onto the scroll covered desk.

Star: this can't happen! I won't let it happen. This cannot be how this ends, but....

High elf: this is hard on me too....I don't want to tell a young couple that their partner has to die....

Y/N: what does this all mean? This can't be how I end. Can't we twist faith or anything? I've done it before, and this can change right?

High elf: I'll give you two the rest of the night to think about this, but Y/N, your time will come when you have to face sonic exe. I'm sorry that it had to play out like this, I would trade places with you if I could, but I can't. I can't twist faith. I know I tried.

Star than slams her hands on the desk.

Star: I can't give up my boyfriend! He's all have in this life! I didn't just destroy the magic and than caused all this to happen just so Y/N couldn't be with me.

Y/N: Star-

Star cuts you off.

Star: no! I'm not going to send my boyfriend out to his death! Can't we do something about this? Maybe if I helped in the fight?

High elf: I'm sorry, Star, but the tapestry is done. It's basically saying that you and Y/N aren't meant to be. I wish I didn't have to say that, but I don't make these scrolls, I just ready them. There might be a twist, but I'm sorry to say that Y/N is destined for this.

Tears start to run down stars cheeks a bit. You placed a hand on her should to try and provide her with some comfort; you than hugs you and holds you close. You saw that she nuzzles in your chest; she was listening to your heart beat. You gave Star a sad smile, but she didn't seem to want to smile at all. She seemed down in the dumps.

Y/N; how long do we got?

High elf: not much time. We probably have a week before sonic exe finds out where the last crystal is. You have to be prepared for anything.

Y/N: but....what are we going to tell our friends and family? They're not gonna like what they hear.

High elf: if it comes down to the profacy....than your death will not be forgotten.

Star didn't like the sound of that, so she kept her face hidden in the chest of your hoodie. You rubbed the back of her a little bit, but soon she toke you by the hand to leave the office.

Glossarnyck: so, how did it go for you two?

Star: not now, glossarnyck!

Glossarnyck was taken aback at how Star sounded. She sounded very upset, and he didn't hear that in her voice before. You mouthed sorry to glossarnyck, and so he turns to the high elf who peeked out the door to see what all the commotion was about.
