▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃"𝘼𝙡𝙧𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩, 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙩𝙝𝙚 drill." Kate held out a specimen bottle. Savanna took the bottle from her sponsor, it's been a week since she'd relapsed and since she moved in with Buck who refused to let her buy a hotel room. No one knew about the relapse except Buck, Athena, Eddie, and Bobby, and the only reason Bobby knew was that he was her captain, he'd been disappointed but he understood better than anyone but for safety, he put her on paramedic duty only until she got the all clear for her sponsor which was today.
"All nice and warm." Savanna quipped handing the cup to Kate.
Kate was a brunette middle-aged mother of Four, two of which are deceased her youngest son was killed in a drive-by it was simply a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time, he was only twelve. A few years later her daughter passed in surgery from sepsis.
"Talk to me," Kate demanded as she pulled out testing strips.
"I was doing so well." Savanna drew in a deep breath as she finally allowed herself to be open and honest, she knew with Kate she could say anything and the woman wouldn't judge her.
"Almost ten years down the drain." Savanna chewed on the inside of her cheek.
"It was one slip up give yourself some grace. You've been through more than anyone should ever have to. One moment doesn't erase all the progress you've made." Kate spoke before washing her hands.
"You're clean by the way, I'll fill out the paperwork and get it over to Bobby," Kate added before sitting down across from Savanna.
"Thanks," Savanna spoke standing up.
"Twice a week." Kate reminded her of their meetings.
"I'll see you on Friday." Savanna nodded firmly.

"Congratulations Micheal I'm happy for you." Savanna chuckled through the phone. Micheal just called her to tell her about him proposing to David.
"Thank you, thank you. That leads me to the next question..." Savanna stayed silent as she walked through the station towards the stairs. "Is a watch too little?" Savanna laughed already knowing that question was coming due to Athena's heads up.
"It's perfect Micheal, he loves you that's all you need."
Savanna heard a sigh before he spoke, "Yeah, that's good advice, thank you."
