Robert was lingering in the living room when Lindsey walked through the door that midmorning---heading into afternoon.

"Oh, hey," he acknowledged the man as he settled a few paper bags full of groceries on the table. "How's it going?"

"Not bad..." he waved gently, acknowledging the fact that he had flowers for the woman.

From the day before to that morning, it was clear that was when they had gotten engaged. They were obviously trying to make the most of their time which was certainly a reason he never tried to impose. Being that his ex-wife was officially his best friend, he needed her help and her patience to help him figure out what it was he was doing.

Knowing that Lindsey and Kristen had been together for a time---it surely fogged how he was portraying things, but if he had learned anything in the 26 years with Stevie, it was that he needed to listen to his heart, not all of the other emotions that caused him to spin.

Holding the monitor in her hand, Stevie came back down to meet him after settling her daughter down for her nap, but she came across both men instead.

"Hi, baby," she greeted him, kissing his lips briefly. "Lily's down for her nap..."

"Nice," he grinned softly. Her minimal amount of stress was evident to him. He then handed her the bouquet of flowers, "I got these for you..."

She smiled in return, "They're lovely..." she assured. "Let me put them in water."

While Robert buried himself in his thoughts, the couple were able to get the groceries put away, get the flowers in water and find a place for them to sit---they chose the center of the table that was just passed the entry way.

Stevie then grabbed his hand and pulled him along with her to follow her to the living room.

"Stevie, Lindsey---I need to apologize to the both of you..." he reached for her hands as soon as she got close enough.

Lindsey creased his brow, very unsure of what was going on considering he had just walked through the door.

"Robert--"

"I said a lot of terrible things and I blamed you for a lot of things including ruining Shannon's happiness," he sighed, looking at the man. "I know you were never with Shannon, she was simply in love with you even after you were clear with her..."

The guitarist was barely catching up on the conversation---trying hard to make sense of his apology.

"And you, Stevie, you did what was right for you. You didn't fall in love with Lindsey to spite anybody... And you're right---I'm gonna have to take it up with both God and my son, because I just adore Kristen. I'm completely in love with her, I have been since I met her," he admitted.

She nodded.

"I have to talk to Kristen, is the baby fine with you guys?"

"Of course," she nodded.

"Alright, and Lindsey, Stevie told me everything..."

He raised a brow, allowing his head to incline slowly.

"I hope there are no hard feelings," he patted the side of his arm before taking off.

Stevie walked over and she pulled her grandson out of the playpen, wanting to get her snuggles in while Lily was sleeping.

"I'm sorry, what just happened?" he asked, joining her on the couch.

"Oh, honey... Chaos," she shrugged. "I told him everything and he handled that a whole lot better than expected hence the apology in our direction. He was telling me all about how he was in love with Kristen and I had to tell him because it's only right he knows where we all fit in."
