As the next week rolled around, Stevie would finally be wrapping up her tour, in fact, the few days leading up to the last show, she would call her family to speak with them about her plans to go up north.

"Is everything alright with you?" Jeffrey asked.

"Yes, baby, everything is fine. But with the tour over with, I need to settle some last things and I just want to rest before I come back home. Christmas is just around the corner and it's going to be crazy with everybody in and out of the house between your grandparents, aunt and uncle... I'm going up north for a little bit just to relish in the scenery and see some old friends, like Robin's mom and from there I'll be home."

It wasn't a lie, she absolutely would visit Robin's mother if she was going to be in the area.

"Okay..." he replied, just a tad bit weary that she'd be traveling alone while pregnant.

Not only did he have concerns about her pregnancy, but did he wonder if the trip had anything to do with the father of her child; but he wasn't going to ask her those kinds of questions.

"Can you pass me over to your dad, let your brother know I'll be back exactly five days after the last show? Then I'll let your grandma know to tell Shannon."

"Yes, I will do that."

"Alright, I appreciate it, love bug. I love all of you..."

"I know, mom. We love you too."

She smiled to herself.

Jeffrey then allowed his father the chance to talk to his mother, leaving them in private.

"Thanks, son," Robert wheeled himself over, taking the phone, waiting for his son to disappear. "Hey, Steph..."

"Hi..." she sighed. "How's it going?"

"Good, now that my sisters are gone," he smirked. "It's much more quiet, the vibe will surely be calm enough for you to tolerate."

"I appreciate it," she chuckled.

"How about you? How are you and the baby doing?"

"We're good," she sighed. "I'm just tired. I was telling Jeff I'd be taking a trip up north before I come home."

"Oh, uh... San Jose?" he wondered.

"Yep..."

"What's going on over there?"

"Well, between you and me, Lindsey's mom had a stroke last week. I'm heading that way to see how she's doing, that's all. I'm staying five days but that's only because I need a little rest period before another flight. I haven't traveled while pregnant in a long time, so once I get home, I'll be home to stay. I don't have much energy left in me."

"I'd imagine," he agreed. "Just take care of yourself, okay?"

"Yeah, I will. Please don't tell the kids anything other than I'm taking a partial break before I get home since Christmas is so near and me being pregnant is taking a lot out of me."

"Of course."

"And then I'll call my mom, let her know what's going on. By the time my parents and Shannon make it over, I should be on my way."

"Okay. Sounds like you have it planned out pretty good."

"I don't want to not see how Ruth's doing before I get home and don't want to travel and I know once I have the baby, I'm gonna be home a lot and unable to go anywhere."

"Right..."

"Yeah, anyways, that's all. How's physical therapy going?"

"Well, it's going..." he smirked.
