"That was so easy, it should actually be illegal," Stevie smirked.

They were hand in hand after having acquired their marriage license that afternoon.

He chuckled.

"I mean, really..." she giggled. "It's no wonder people come here, get drunk and go home married."

"Yeah..." he smirked. "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas."

"Yeah because people don't remember," she giggled.

"Well, pretty lady, now that the important stuff is out of the way---what should we do? Do you wanna go to the room? Head to dinner?"

"What do you wanna do?" she wondered and then shook her head. "Never mind, I know what you wanna do..." she smirked.

He pumped a brow.

"Why don't we go back to the room and order in? Tomorrow night we should go out..."

"I'm gonna need to find something to wear... I didn't bring anything but a couple nice blouses and some lounging clothes. I thought we'd be at your mom's. Every time I stressed about bringing enough stuff, you reminded me we'd be gone only a couple days. And for once, I listened."

"I did tell you I had this all planned, right?" he smirked.

"Yes..."

"There's a garment bag in the car---I brought a bunch of your skirts and dresses. Your boots too. Lori and Sharon helped me decide on your behalf one of the times you were in your studio, expecting them over."

"Really?"

"Yep..."

"Oh, my God, you're too much. I can't believe I believed this was last minute. We have a lux suite, we have a marriage certificate..." she giggled. "Now I have clothes."

"You have clothes for the ceremony tomorrow, but what could you really need them for after that?" he was suggestive. "By evening tomorrow, we'll officially be on our honeymoon."

"Ah, that just means we'll have to plan something really special fairly soon," she assured, her tone mirroring his as she swiped his curls. "I'm so happy, I could combust. You just don't even know."

"I'm really happy you're happy," he leaned in, kissing her tenderly.

"I'm... elated," she shrugged, unable to emulate just how truly overjoyed she was.

After a few more tender moments, the two of them went forth with getting a bottle of champagne to celebrate the day ahead; their wedding day.

When the next morning arrived, the two of them would go about having breakfast before actually getting themselves ready for the quick ceremony they were so excited for.

As impulsive as they both could be, getting married after a little over two weeks of being engaged really seemed like the best thing they could do, even if they had thought it would be at some point down the line.

Lindsey felt they needed to use her son's birth week with something new to be excited about, just so that his birthday could be a little more light-hearted in the future. He knew better than to plan their wedding on the actual day, three days after was perfect.

While Stevie was slipping earrings into her lobes, she looked at each of her sets of piercings, but then she glanced at her engagement ring, finding herself ever so thrilled to be getting married again.

The butterflies she was experiencing was so different compared to the adrenaline of herself and Robert getting married---it was so different. Being in her teens compared to getting remarried in her forties were two completely different universes. It seemed life was starting over for her, but as a woman who seemed to live life like a cat with nine, she hoped it was the last one---hoping it was her forever one.
