Friday, two days later, after school.

Luz and Clara were let out of class early to take the bus to the opposing school. Luz took role, filed her teammates in a line and helped them check in before taking them to set up their rest area. "Alright everyone," Luz walked over. "Final check-ins, anyone want to get wrapped before we start?"

No one rose their paws, so Clara stood, "Straight to stretching, then?"

They murmured agreements, Luz and Clara leading them to an open area and leading stretches. "Anyone getting wrapped here?" A fox walked over, holding up a sort of tape.

Luz looked to her team, "Anyone?"

"Uh..Maybe, yes please." A horse rose her hoof. "I need my ankles wrapped."

Thus began the domino effect, and the rest of the team asked to get wrapped as well. Luz sighed, looking to Clara, "Next time, one of us gets wrapped so we do this sooner."

Clara nodded. "When you're all ready, we'll check-in and go over what we're doing." Clara clapped. "We all good on that?"

"Uh- Can we do bathroom break after check-in?"

Clara and Luz looked to eachother, "That won't cut into our time, right?" Luz blinked.

"I don't think so. Yes, but we'll need to be quick about it." Clara said. "When you're done getting wrapped, quickly to the bathroom and back to our canopy!"

"Alrighttt!" They all agreed as one.

Luz nudged Clara, waving her along, the two going to the stands. Luz's tail wagged slowly, the pup smiling as her girlfriend came down, "Hey." Luz grinned.

Amity smiled warmly, "Hey." Amity cupped her cheek. "You ready?"

Luz softened, "Final licks before I put it on..?"

Amity purred, "Yes, let's go sit down and give you your much deserved love."

Luz was dragged to where the Nocedas were seated, the Clawthorne sisters off to get snacks. Luz lied against Amity when she sat, slumping when she began to get groomed. Vee offered iced water to Clara, the golden retriever thanking her softly and taking the water.

Amity purred, Luz slumping further into her girlfriend, sighing. Her tail became a blur, ears flattening out as her hair was licked back. Clara and Vee talked for a few minutes before the intercom went off, "Captians of participating teams please meet at the tents. Co-Captains as well. Captians and co-captians, meet at the tents."

Luz carried Amity down the stairs, desperate for the last few licks before setting her down. "If anything happens--"

"Don't go down to kill people, I know." Amity ruffled Luz's fur. "I love you, so much, so much! You'll be great."

Luz knocked her head gently against Amity's, sighing before walking over to the tents. Vee grabbed Clara's face, knocking their heads together roughly, barking, "YOU BETTER WIN CLARA!"

Clara growled, rubbing her head as she rushed after Luz. "Owwww!!! Damnit Vee!" Clara stuck her tounge back at her. "You'll pay!"

"WITH CUDDLES CAUSE YOU'RE GONNA WIN!"

Clara grumbled, waving her off and standing by Luz. "Fair game, everyone." A mastiff uttered. "Slight hint of sabotage, disqualified after a thorough check through videos. Understood?"

"Yes sir!" They shouted as one.

"THEN GET ON THAT TRACK AND RUN TIL YOU DROP!" He clapped.

Luz and Clara walked to Coach K, the animal looking to Luz, frowning. "You don't have to run, Luz.."
