It shall be a surprise to no one that another form of my inspiration is books! Here is part 4!
The Hunger Games Trilogy
I talk about this so much that after I typed the letter H 'hunger' and then 'games' pop into my suggested words. Katniss was one of my first introductions into writing strong women. She was just a normal person. Not the weak hyper-feminine protagonists that came before her. She was real a believable portrayal of 16-year-old girl. She didn't rely on a man and in turn her male counterparts weren't weak just to make her look stronger. There is a really interesting play with what exactly is feminine and masculine in these books. Katniss is the protector the breadwinner. Peeta is the comforter, his character is described as being more typically feminine than Katniss', but he serves to take all of those terribly misguided stereotypes and turn them right on their head. Gale relies on bravado to showcase his masculinity serving in stark contrast to Peeta who feels more secure in himself and doesn't think less of himself for relying on Katniss in unfamiliar situations.
The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue
I loved this book from page one. Addie was such an interesting character to read about. She was granted her wish of time in exchange for being remembered. She falls in love with a boy given the gift to be loved at the price of time. I love seeing sacrifice in love stories because it is so rare in real life. Addie's sacrifice is so powerful and beautiful.
The Screwtape Letters
This book really made me look at spiritual warfare as something real and not just something people joked about. The perspective shown throughout this book made the themes easier to understand. This book really helped me to grow as a Christian.
Eliza and Her Monsters
A girl struggling with her mental health (I.e. her monsters) is hiding her secret identity as an anonymous WEBTOON author/artist. I loved the comic rep the whole prospect of being a successful artist and the mental health rep.
Again but Better
College girl gets a chance to relive her life the way she chooses instead of how her parents want her to.... Yeah my dream in a book.
Serpent and Dove
Witch and witch hunter fall in love. Need I say more? The angst!!!!!! Ps blood magic in this story is fucking awesome. For One More Day
I've dreamed about getting one more day with the people I've lost. This book is absolutely beautiful.

Hide With Me
(Name changed to Borderline)The audio book is amazing. I love the found family and friendship in this book. Love the romance love the characters. Only thing is there is this massive lead up to learning the FMC name and the name was terrible.

Turtles All the way down
This book means the world to me. I remember reading it and thinking man I'm glad I don't have OCD and slowly from reading this book I learned that the mc struggled with many of my issues too. This book led me to get a diagnosis and to push for it. This book saved my life. I went from a scared kid who thought that I was going crazy to well me now .... Which isn't much better but it's a hell of a lot better than how I was before, trust me on that.
