*6 months later*

'No..'.. Trix shook her head, in disbelief at what he was saying... 'Its not happening Pietro, just no. I've stayed away to protect them..'.. She huffed, moving fron him so he couldn't try to sway her any more. She headed down to the basement, putting in her code and pulling the door open, locking it in place so she could finish the remodel.

'Trix..'.. He stopped by the door, folding his arms... 'I get it, I do, but no one will know. And you know how protected they all are now..'

She closed her eyes, shaking her head for a moment, before picking up the toolbox, and seting it on the table to her left... 'I can't do it, I just can't..'.. She braced her hands on top of it... 'I don't want to see the disappointment in him. I never let myself care, because I couldn't. It was the only way to protect him, to protect them all..'.. She turned to face him... 'I have a lot of enemies, you know that, and I don't want anyone finding out about him..'

'Trix..'.. He walked over, taking hold of her hands, and pulling her closer... 'Its been about what? 9 - 10 months since the rest of us found out, and in all that time, had there been the slightest whisper about him?..'.. He could see she was thinking it over, and shook her head... 'No harm is ever going to come for him, or the rest of the Bartons. You pretty much have a small army right behind you, who would go to war for you should you ever ask. I promise you, us going, won't put him in danger, and if it'll make you feel better, I can call Strange, and ask him to portal us there, so we won't have to travel..'

Trix rested her head against his chest. Since coming face to face with her son, all those months ago, she couldn't stop thinking about him. Her heart ached that she had given him up, even though he was with the best people she knew, she just missed so much, and didn't know where she would fit into his life if she ever got the chance to step into it. Not to mention, she was terrified of him ever experiencing a sliver of the shit she did... 'I'll think about it..'.. She looked back up at him with a smile.

'That's all I'm asking for..'.. He kissed her lightly... 'Now come on, let's get this place fixed up, and go for a run. Oh, and we got a message from T'Challa, said his sister wants us to go there as soon as we can..'.. He moved to the table, and picked up the measuring tape.

'He say what it was about?..'.. She asked, coming to his side, and grabbing the drill.

'Not something he could say over message. You want to go call him back and find out? I got this..'.. He took the drill from her... 'I got the blueprints and know just how you want it..'

'You'll have that wall finished before I come back down, won't you?..'.. She chuckled.

'Well, the sooner this is done, the sooner we can get to doing other things..'.. He teased... 'Go..'.. He kissed her again, and bumped her with his hip, that she rolled her eyes, heading to the stairs back up.

Trix stopped by the door, and glanced back at him, seeing the smirk on his lips. She still hadn't said it yet, and it was as if he was waiting for her to say it first... 'I'll be quick..'.. She winked, and headed up.

'You'll cave at some point Trix..'.. He called to her and she laughed, stepping into the kitchen.

Maybe she would, maybe she wouldn't, but even if she never said it, he already knew. He never put pressure on her, they never argued or fought, just seemed to be in sync with one another. Trix wondered if that night she turned him, would she have this, if she had chosen someone else instead? Sure Rogers was willing, as was Barnes and a Loki, but it wasn't that she needed a hero, or a villain like her, but someone who was patient, understanding but most of all, someone who add a little grey to the black and white of her world.
