The truck door is slammed shut just as Buck climbs in. He sighs in defeat before putting his stoic mask back on before the driver side door opens.
"Dammit, Evan!"
"Look, I'm sorry," Buck tries to say.
"You're sorry? You dragged me to this stupid game night, you convinced me to put in $10. You owe me $10 because you didn't know who plays King fucking Geoffrey!"
"You're right," Buck pulls his wallet out and hands over the money, "I'm sorry."
"Yeah, you fucking said that."

"Hey, Buck!" Eddie exclaims as he jogs across the parking lot when he sees Buck getting into the passenger side of the truck.
"Hey," Buck says, glancing back into the truck, "what's up?"
"I was going to invite the two of you over for dinner tonight," Eddie says.
"Oh," Buck looks into the truck, "thanks, but we have plans."
"Another time, then," Eddie says softly.
"Yeah, maybe you can hang out with Angela," Buck says before getting pulled into the truck.
Eddie watches the truck pull out of the parking lot before he turns to go back into the firehouse. He doesn't greet any of the b-shift fire fighters as he walks through the buildings. He doesn't even knock before slamming the door open to Bobby's office.
"Eddie," the captain of b-shift says in shock, "I thought you left."
"Yeah, I was on my way to my truck. We need to talk."
"Eddie, we've been over this. I can't come back to your shift if Gerard is still there," Bobby says with a sigh.
"Not that, cap. We need to talk about Buck."
Bobby puts the coffee mug he's holding down, "what about Buck?"
"I think Tommy's bad for him. Bad to him," Eddie says.
"Eddie, I know th-."
"Cap, I swear if you are about to write this off as me being jea-."
"Okay, fair enough. Why do you think Tommy's bad?"
"Buck told me to hang out with Angela," Eddie says.
"And?"
"Wow, we really need to download urban dictionary onto your phone," eddie says, "Angela is used in bars if someone feels unsafe."
"So, you think Buck used this to send you a message that he feels unsafe?"
"Bobby, I don't know anyone named Angela," Eddie says.

"You're such a damn idiot," Tommy says as he rolls his eyes angrily.
"To-."
"I'm serious. You actually thought it would be a good idea to respond to Eddie? We have a deal. You don't speak to Eddie outside of work," Tommy says angrily.
"Yeah, I know."
"Oh, you know? Really?"
"Well, you've been berating me for the last four hours," Buck responds.
Tommy rolls his eyes before bringing his hand down, making contact with buck's cheek. The force of the slap causes a cut to open on buck's cheekbone.
"Well, look what you made me do," Tommy says angrily.

Eddie knocks on the door for the third time, "Buck, I know you're home. Let me in."
The door opens and Tommy stands there, only opening the door six inches, "what do you want, Diaz."
"Well, I guess you can't comprehend context clues, but I'm at Buck's apartment, calling his name. What do you think I want, Kinard?"
Tommy's face switches from stoic to one of anger, "he's busy."
"Well, then I guess he'll have no problem telling me that himself, now will he?"
"He's in the shower," Tommy says before shutting the door and locking the deadbolt.
Eddie rolls his eyes before walking down the hall and taking out his phone.
Eddie: Meet me at Buck's apartment. It's an emergency.

"Well," Athena walks down the hall with her arms up in confusion, "what's going on?"
"I think Buck's being abused," Eddie says, seeing no point in beating around the bush.
"What?"
"Tommy answered when I knocked before texting you and wouldn't let me see Buck. He said that Buck was in the shower, but there was no running water and no singing. Buck never showers without singing. Ask Bobby."
"Okay, so Tommy was lying about him being in the shower?" Athena says, her hand on her gun as she approaches the door, "have you heard anything since?"
"Not a peep."
Athena nods and slams the side of her fist against the door loudly, "Evan Buckley, you better open this damn door!"
"Nice, you sound like a mom yelling at her teenage son."
"Well, it's Buck," Athena says with a shrug before the door opens to show Tommy.
"wow, Eddie. You called the cops?"
"Nope. Just a cop," Athena corrects as she pushes the door open all the way before walking past Tommy, Eddie following, "Buck?" Athena walks through the apartment slowly, Eddie holding Tommy against the wall. She slowly walks up the stairs before she lets out a loud gasp.
Eddie abandons Tommy and follows Athena up the stairs. The sound of his heart racing at the sight is enough to cover up the sound of the apartment door opening and shutting.
"Oh My God."
