_____ _____ _____

TK walks out of the bunk room with his duffel bag slung over his shoulder. He waves goodbye to everyone as he takes his phone out of his pocket.

To Carlos:

Heading home from the firehouse now. Do I need to stop and get anything at the store?

He walks towards the ambulance and smiles at Nancy as she finishes up restocking the rig.

From Carlos:

Nope. All good here. See you soon, I love you.

To Carlos:

I love you.

TK walks out of the firehouse and to his car. He slides into the driver's seat as he shrugs the duffel bag off. He drops it into the seat next to him before fastening his seatbelt. He starts the car and pulls out of the parking lot, turning onto the road. It takes thirty seconds of driving before he feels something pressed against his side. Based on how it feels, TK can tell it's a gun.

"Hey there, baby," the voice sends chills down TK's spine as panic rushes through his body.

"Alex," he breathes out, gripping the steering wheel tightly.

"Now, take your phone out and throw it from your window," Alex says.

"Okay," TK uses one hand to grab his phone before he rolls down his window, "you don't need to do this. Alex, this is extreme-even for you," he says as he tosses the phone out of the window.

"Oh, but I do, baby," Alex says as he pushes the gun more into TK's side, "see, I've been watching you. You and that hot boyfriend. What's his name, again?"

"Carlos," TK says quietly.

"Yes, Carlos. Oh, take a right up here. Anyways, do you really think that he loves you? I bet he barely tolerates you," Alex says aggressively.

After TK takes the turn, he looks up at the rearview mirror-which he has been avoiding-to see Alex's smirk, "where are we going?"

"What, you don't want to argue that he does actually love you?" Alex questions with a chuckle, "very well, then. We're going to a nice place I found."

"What, want to have a picnic?" TK questions.

"Oh, no, no," Alex says, "I have far worse plans. Take a left up here, then the first right."

Carlos looks at his watch once again. It has been two hours since TK's last text. The firehouse is at most a thirty minute drive away, so he should be home. He decides to call TK anxiously.

"Hey, you've reached TK. I can't answer your call right now, but I'll get in touch with you as soon as I can."

He sighs, anxiety flowing through his body. He then grabs his keys and walks out of the home. He reaches the car and begins his drive to the firehouse. About a mile from the firehouse, he sees something small and black in the road. He pulls over and turns the car off. He steps out of the car, looks both ways, and walks over and picks the object up. He returns to his car and inspects the object once he is safely in his seat.
