76: Buck+Tommy⚠️

A/N: I hope you enjoy this! Tomorrow, I'm back to doing school tomorrow so I'm not sure how much I'll be writing. I'm going to try to not go as hard with school as I did the first two weeks because I got myself burnt out.

Buck stares up at the house in front of him. So many memories inside Bobby and Athena's house. Buck remembers numerous family dinners he's had with May and Harry. He remembers May's graduation party and how he and Eddie sang. He remembers when he came to the party thrown by everyone to celebrate him getting cleared. He remembers hugging Eddie that night.

"Evan?"

"Huh?" Buck looks next to him at Tommy.

"I asked you if you're ready," Tommy says softly.

"Oh, yeah," Buck says before they walk up to the door.

With a deep breath, Buck knocks on the door. His hand shakes slightly as it returns to his side. Tommy sees this and reaches his hand over and places it on the small of Buck's back as the door opens to reveal Bobby.

"Buck! Tommy!" the captain says enthusiastically before his smile falls, "why are you in your clothes from yesterday, Buck?"

"Hey, Bobby," Buck says softly, "I have to tell you something."

Buck sits at the table, both hands grasping the coffee mug sat in front of him. Tommy is sitting next to him, his hand on Buck's knee under the table.

"Buck, what's going on? You're scaring me," Bobby says, "are you okay?"

"Actually, that's why I'm here. I'm not okay, Bobby."

"Okay, what's going on, then?"

Buck sighs softly as he tries to think about how to word what he's about to say. Unable to form the words, he looks to Tommy for help. Tommy nods and clears his throat.

"Something happened, Bobby, after you left the fire house," Tommy says softly, "Eddie did something."

"What did he do?"

"He kissed me," Buck says softly, "without my consent."

Bobby places his mug down, "he what!?"

"I don't want him to lose his job," Buck quickly says.

"Okay," Bobby takes a deep breath, "what do you want me to do?"

"I don't know," Buck says as he nervously looks at Tommy.

"What if I transfer him?" Bobby suggests softly, "I'll move him to B shift until I can find an opening at a different station."

Buck nods after a thoughtful moment, "yeah, that should work."

"Buck, do you want to see a thera-."

"No," Buck says sternly.

"She doesn't work for the department anymore," Bobby says.

"No."

"Okay, just let me know if you change your mind?"

Buck nods just as Athena comes in from her jog, "Buck, Tommy, what brings you two here."

"Uh, nothing," Buck says as he quickly stand, "we should get going."

"Oh, alright," Athena says in confusion. She moves to give Buck a hug but he dodges it and runs out of the house.

"Sorry, he had a lot of coffee," Tommy says before nodding to Bobby and rushing after Buck.

Buck is leaning against the front tire as he sits on the ground. He has one hand on his head as he sighs.

"Hey, Ev," Tommy says, "where to now?"

"I guess to my place," Buck says.

"Deal," Tommy says before helping Buck up.

"So, I guess you want some context about my aversion to therapy," Buck says as he sits on the couch.

"That's only if you want to tell me," Tommy responds.

"I slept with my therapist," Buck says, "well, I guess, technically, she took advantage of me."

"Wow, I'm sorry. That's fucked," Tommy says softly.

"The worst part? When he found out, Eddie laughed. Sure, he didn't know the whole story, but Bobby knew right away. Why couldn't Eddie?"

"I don't know, sweetheart," Tommy says, "why don't we try to get some sleep, hmm?"

Buck nods and lets Tommy pull him up the stairs towards the bed. He lays down with a soft sigh, pressing his body against Tommy's. Tommy lets out a breath of relief the second he hears Buck snore, finally allowing himself to fall asleep.

A/N: Okay, so I kinda lowkey love Eddie being the villain if it gives cutesy Kinley. I just don't want Eddie to be the reason Kinley break up in the show, especially since the s7 finale promo pics make it seem like Buck leaves a date to go be with Eddie.
