A/N: I honestly thought that we'd have to wait FOREVER for season 8. I can't believe we're getting it NEXT MONTH (September 26th). In clips on TikTok, Oliver has his curly hair during filming, so hopefully Buck has curly hair FINALLY. I want a scene of tommy and Buck with the curls. Anyways, enjoy.

"Wow," Maddie says as she lets Buck into the front door.

"Is it really that different?"

"Yeah," Maddie responds.

"Wait, a bad different?" Buck turns to the mirror in the foyer and begins to fuss with his hair.

"Buck, relax," Chimney says from the living room, "your hair looks fine. It's just new. What did you do? Get a perm?"

"Actually," Maddie says, "his hair is naturally curly.

"What? I've known you for this long and am just learning this?"

"Yeah, I have curly hair. I used to get blowouts."

"Wow, really? I never would have expected," Chimney says, "why did you do that?"

Maddie shakes her head rapidly, making Chimney drop the subject. She turns back to see Buck is once again fussing with his hair.

"Buck, your hair's fine," Maddie says with a chuckle.

"When's Tommy getting here?" Chimney asks.

"And that explains the panic," Maddie says as she places a hand on her brother's shoulder, pushing him more into the house.

"He'll be here any minute," Buck says nervously.

"So," Buck says as he and Tommy walk into his loft, placing their jackets on the island counter, "you... haven't commented on my hair."

"Evan," Tommy says softly, "are you actually nervous about what I think?"

"Of course, I am," Buck responds, "your opinion matters a lot to me."

"Well," Tommy says as he puts his hand in Buck's hair, spinning the curls with his fingers, "I think the curls are hot, but that could just be you."

"Really?"

"Yeah," Tommy says as he and Buck adjourn to the couch, "so, why have you never worn it naturally before?"

"I used to, but I was told that it made me look like an alpaca," Buck responds.

"What? Who the hell told you that?" Tommy questions.

"My dad," Buck responds simply.

"What? Why the hell would he compare his son to an animal?"

"Because he was worried that me having curly hair would make people think he wasn't my biological father. It was then that deep down I started to wish that were true."

"Well, I think you need to answer a very important question," Tommy says as he drapes an arm around Buck.

"What question?"

"Do you like your curly hair?"

Buck is silent for a moment, his head tipped towards the ceiling as he thinks, "I do. Alpacas are cute."

"They are," Tommy agrees, "you're cuter, though."

With a bright smile, Buck leans in and kisses Tommy passionately.
