"Buck! Lunch!" Chimney yells through the fire house, his voice echoing.

"Am I the only one amazed that he isn't already here? He never skips Bobby's cooking," Hen says as she eats her food.

"Maybe he just doesn't feel well," Eddie responds calmly, though his mind is spiraling.

He remembers when he overheard Maddie talking to Buck when they went on a double date. The siblings were walking ahead of Eddie and Chimney, but Eddie was eavesdropping because Buck had seemed off that entire night. He remembers Maddie voicing her concern that he's 'relapsed'. Eddie knows that Buck doesn't have a drug or alcohol problem, so he didn't think much of it. However, he knows from his paramedic training that harmful activities such as self harm and eating disorders can be addictions. Eddie never saw any signs of either, so he convinced himself that Buck was okay.

Buck stares into his open fridge at the nearly empty shelves. Half a dozen eggs, a quart of milk, and a couple apples sit there staring at him. He looks at the coffee maker and sees that he has been standing at the fridge for twenty minutes and now has to leave for work. With a sigh, he shuts the fridge and grabs his things.

"I'll just eat a bigger lunch."

"Hey mi amor," Eddie says when Buck climbs into the truck.

"Hey," Buck responds quietly as Eddie starts to drive.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah," Buck says maybe a little too fast, "just tired."

"Okay," Eddie says, not believing him one bit.

The rest of the ride is in silence and they soon arrive at the fire house. As they walk in, Buck folds his arms in front of his chest as chills run down his spine.

"Is it just me or is it kind of cold?" Buck questions softly as he and Eddie walk into the living room.

"No, it's just like normal," Eddie responds.

Buck shrugs it off as he strips his shirt off, visibly shivering as the air touches his back. He quickly pulls his long sleeve shirt on. In his peripherl vision, Eddie can see that Buck has lost some weight. He doesn't voice his discovery, since he never finds it polite to comment on someone's weight. Instead, he dresses himself. Once their uniforms are on, Buck and Eddie walk out of the locker room and up the stairs. Buck's hands are slightly shaking due to the cold he feels.

"Hey, guys," Bobby says from the stove.

The smell of Bobby's delicious cooking fills Buck's nose. The aroma that usually makes Buck feel at home causes a different reaction this time. The thought of Bobby's delisious and filling food makes Buck feel the need to throw up. He bites the inside of his cheek to keep from showing his disgust. His eyes stare at the food in the pan, oil popping around it. The thought of the grease alone makes Buck's hand touch his stomach.
