•Inspiration: Okay so I was on tiktok and mentioned how I wanted this to happen and people agreed.

•Type: angsty

A/N: Okay so it's been a while and since this is also a buddie oneshot book, I want to share my proposal with you. As you all know, we want buck and Eddie to be a couple. I propose that if we don't get buddie by the winter finale of season six, we boycott the show until we get them!! Also Owen isn't in this much.

TK stands in the mirror as he fixes his uniform after his nap. He turns as he sees Mateo enter the room.

"Hey, TK. Someone's here for you," Mateo says softly.

"Uh, okay. I'll be right there," TK says before leaving the room and walking to where the trucks are. He sees a figure with their back towards them, "hello?"

"Why, hello, TK," the man says as he turns to face TK, causing the paramedic take a step back.

"Alex," he says with a gasp.

"Miss me?" Alex questions softly.

"You should leave. I'm working," TK says softly.

"Okay, well I'll come back when you're off," Alex says as he starts to walk away but he turns around, "see you later, baby."

TK stands there, watching Alex leave. He stays in this spot as Alex drives away. Marjan, Paul, Mateo, and Nancy walk over, concerned.

"What do we do?" Mateo asks after they failed to bring TK out of his trance.

"Call Carlos. Captain Strand is still out of town. Besides, Carlos might understand why he shut down," Marjan says.

Nancy walks away and looks at her phone. As it rings, she taps her foot anxiously.

"Nancy?" Carlos asks as he answers.

"Hey, Carlos. Are you able to come to the fire house?" Nancy asks, her anxiety coming through her voice.

"Yeah. What's wrong? Is TK hurt?" Carlos asks, grabbing his keys and running from his and TK's loft.

"Someone stopped by to see him and ever since he left, TK has been in a trance," Nancy says softly, glancing at her friend that was now sitting with his knees pulled to his chest.

"Yeah. I just got in the car. I'll be there soon," Carlos says before hanging up.

Nancy returns to the group, sitting with TK. Tommy came out from her office and comes over concerned.

"What's going on?"

"We're handling it, but he shut down after some guy came to see him," Judd responds before Tommy nods sadly and returns to her office.

"Where is he?" Carlos says as he rushes in. The group moves to show TK.

Carlos runs over, sliding to his knees in front of TK. He holds him tightly.

"Any of you know who the guy was?" Carlos asks softly.

"I do," Tommy says as she enters the room.

"What?" everyone says in shock.

"Well, I called Owen, and explained what happened. He said there is only one person that would cause TK to shut down," Tommy explains.

"Who?" Carlos asks.

"Alex," Tommy says softly, a saddened look on her face.

"The guy that TK got dumped by before he moved here?" Mateo asks in confusion.

"Yeah," Carlos says as he holds TK tighter, "the story's not that simple. I think I'm going to take him home."

They all nod and help Carlos get TK to his feet before the couple leaves the building. When they get to the loft, Carlos helps TK get in the bed and covers him up. As he turns off the bedroom light, he hears a knock on the door. He opens it to see Alex standing there. Carlos steps out of the loft and shuts the door.

"Get the hell away from my home," Carlos says in anger.

"I'm just here to see TK. I told him I'd stop by later," Alex says with a smug smirk.

"did you never find out he's engaged to a cop? I will have you arrested for stalking and harassment," Carlos says.

"Whatever. Tell my baby I'll see him later," Alex says as he leaves.

Carlos goes into the loft and climbs out onto the fire escape and watches as Alex leaves the building. Just as Alex reaches his car, three cop cars speed into the parking lot. Carlos smirks as Alex is handcuffed and looks up to the fire escape. Carlos smiles and waves before going back inside. He climbs into the bed with TK and kisses his cheek.

"It's over. He was arrested," Carlos whispers as he runs his fingers through TK's short hair.
