"Cap, you do realize that Buck's going to be insufferable, right?" Hen says as she walks towards the table where Bobby is sitting.

"I'll always prefer him being insufferably happy than insufferably sad," Bobby says simply, "besides, Tommy works well with all of you. Having him fill in for Chimney was a no brainer."

"Okay, you have a point there," Hen agrees just as loud laughter is heard from the floor below.

With a confused look to one another, Hen and Bobby walk towards the railing, looking down. They see Buck, Eddie, and Tommy all walking-Buck on Tommy's back-in together.

"On second thought..."

"So, this is what the 118 does, now? Sit on the roof?" Tommy says as he sits down in one of the open chairs with Hen, Eddie, and Bobby.

"Yeah, we find it peaceful up here," Eddie says, "we come here when we can't sleep and just listen to the city."

"So, you all can't sleep?"

"Yeah, I'm too wired, Hen's too worried, and Bobby's Bobby," Eddie responds, earning a faux offended look from the captain.

"Why are you up?" Bobby asks.

"We usually get more calls at night," Tommy responds simply.

The four of them fall into a comfortable silence. They all close their eyes and tilt their heads back, taking in the sounds of Los Angeles. A gradual and low rumble of thunder rolls it's way through the sky, startling Eddie, Hen, and Bobby. The sound of them sitting up gets Tommy to do the same.

"Shit, where is he?" Bobby asks as he, Eddie, and Hen stand.

"Who?"

"Buck!"

"He was asleep when I came up here," Tommy responds before the other three rush towards the stairs.

The sky lights up with a flash of lightning in the distance, causing the realization to hit Tommy-much like the lightning hit Buck. He quickly rushes after the others in a sprint. He reaches them just as they're about to get to the bunks. He shoves Eddie to the side slightly before barging into the bunk room. Buck isn't in the bed, but the sheet and blanket are wadded up in a ball.

"Where is he?" Tommy questions as he turns to the others.

"Where's Ravi?" Hen asks.

As if on cue, they hear a call for help from down below. The four of them rush, Tommy once again in front, towards the sound. He nearly falls down the stairs as he runs down them, stopping in between the vehicles.

"Ravi!?" Tommy shouts.

"Locker room!" Ravi responds.

Tommy rushes forward and grips the door frame with one hand, swinging his body into the locker room. His eyes immediately fall on Buck. His boyfriend is curled up in the fetal position and crying on the floor. He turns to the door to see Eddie, Hen, and Bobby standing there.

"I've got him," Tommy says.

"To-."

"I've got him," Tommy says, his eyes directed towards Eddie.

Bobby nods and pulls Eddie back from the door. Hen gestures with her head to Ravi for him to also leave. Once the couple is alone, Tommy returns his attention to Buck. Another rumble of thunder comes and Buck whimpers. Tommy slowly approaches Buck and lowers his body to the floor. He lays on his side to face Buck.

"Hey, Evan," he whispers.

Buck just desperately shakes his head.

"Hey, it's Tommy, alright? You're in the station. You're safe," Tommy says softly, using his hand to stroke Buck's hair, "you take your time, alright? I'll be here."

Buck inches closer gradually. After ten minutes, his crying calms down and his face is against Tommy's chest. Tommy moves so his arms are wrapped around Buck.

"Thank you," Buck whispers.

"Of course, Ev. Are you ready to sit up? We don't have to leave the room."

Buck nods and allows Tommy to help him sit up, the two of them leaning against the lockers. Their legs are outstretched in front of them. Tommy holds Buck's right hand in his left. They're facing one another, their cheeks against the cool lockers.

"I'm sorry that you saw me like this," Buck says, shame evident in his voice.

"Evan, don't apologize for having trauma. You were struck by lightning and died. If you came out of that without any difficulties, I'd be concerned. I'm just sorry I took so long getting to you," Tommy responds.

"Well, I did run away and hide."

"That is true, and thank God Ravi was in the bunks with you. At least you weren't alone," Tommy responds.

"How long is this storm supposed to last?"

Tommy sighs, "about that..."

"Tommy, I can't go on a call if there's lightning. I just can't," Buck says, his heartrate and breaths picking up.

"Hey, hey, take a breath. You don't have to. Bobby would never expect you to."

"He's right," the two of them look up to see Bobby walk in with two water bottles, a bowl of popcorn, and a blanket, "figured you two might be camping out down here and would want provisions."

"Sometimes I wish I never left," Tommy says as he takes a handful of popcorn.

"Well, if you had stayed, then who would have flown us to save Bobby and Athena?" Buck asks.

"Okay, valid point," Tommy says through a laugh.

"Buck, when you feel comfortable, you're off shift and can go home. You too, Tommy. If you need to, just stay here," Bobby says before leaving the room.

"Did he ever talk to you after the wedding?" Tommy asks.

"About us? Not really. He would ask about you in conversation but we never had a big talk about me liking guys," Buck responds.

"And? What does he think?"

"He thinks you're good for me," Buck says.

"Oh yeah? Do you agree with him?"

"Do I think you're good for me? Absolutely. Do I also think you make sitting a challenge? Also yes," Buck says with a cheeky smile before kissing Tommy softly.

"No kissing while on duty!"

"You said we were off duty!" Buck and Tommy both shout.

A/N: I am so sorry for all of the sexual innuendos. Not for them, but for giving the impression that something might follow. I want to reiterate that I will not write smut. That is non-negotiable. Anyways, I hope y'all enjoyed it. I watched Pitch perfect while writing this so there might be some mistakes. If Anna Kendrick is on my screen, I am not focusing on anything else.
