"APD, open up!" Carlos shouts outside the apartment door.

"This is the Austin Police Department. We have a warrant to search this apartment!" Carlos' partner shouts.

When not receiving any sound for a moment, another cop comes up with a battering ram. He bangs it into the door, the wood splitting with a loud bang. They walk into the apartment, their guns raised due to the dangerous nature of the case. It is a serial bomber that had bombed numerous homes. They search the rooms carefully and slowly, shouting that each room is clear. Once the apartment is cleared, they begin searching.

They find a 'workshop' and find many wires and other materials on and in a desk. They examine them and find that they match what has been used in the bombs. They bag the evidence and three out of the four cops leave the apartment. Carlos begins to follow and hears something click.

"Uh, Pierce?" Carlos' voice shakes slightly. His partner is discussing the case with the other cops, "Pierce."

His partner turns, gasping when seeing the tears in Carlos' eyes. Her eyes glance down his body to his feet. She grabs the radio on her shoulder, "Th-this is Pierce, badge number 5693. Code 8 at 32 Birchwood Avenue Apartment 3G. I repeat, 5693 requesting back up at 32 Birchwood Avenue Apartment 3G. Send the bomb squad."

The 126 are on their way to the apartment building. Judd, Mateo, Paul, Marjan, and Owen are in the engine while TK, Nancy, and Tommy are in the ambulance. They pull up to the scene to see numerous cop cars and two bomb squad vehicles. Numerous people are rushing from the building that is currently being evacuated.

"Okay, 126, we are on standby. The paramedics are hear to treat any injuries from the evacuation. Mateo, Judd, marjan, and Paul, we're here just in case," Owen says.

"What's the situation inside?" Tommy asks.

"An officer is stepping on something that they believe to be an explosive device," Owen says, sharing a discreet look with Tommy. They all lean against the rigs as they watch.

"Hello, Detective Reyes, is it?"

"Y-yeah, but you can call me Carlos. I think this situation allows a first name basis," Carlos says softly.

"Hey, Carlos. I'm Robbie, and this is Caroline. We're from bomb squad. Do you mind telling us what happened to make you believe you are currently standing on a bomb?"

"Well, I was leaving the apartment and I heard something click," Carlos simply explains.

Two other technicians are using tools, scanning the floor around Carlos carefully, "Bell, it looks to be a pressure sensitive bomb," their voice is soft but full of worry.

"That means if I release or add pressure that this building's going up, doesn't it?" Carlos asks.

"Hey, Carlos, we aren't go-"

"So, yes. That's what it means. Get everyone not needed out of this building," Carlos says.

"This is 5693 show me about to head back to the scene."
