•Title: "Downside to two dads."

•Requester: Joanna2468xx

•Warnings: uh talk of uterus problems?

•Inspiration: the request

•Type: fluff/comedy?

A/N: So, this might be short. I've had my period for ten years now, so I don't exactly remember the first time I got it. Also, every person is different, so if your experience isn't this, that's understandable.

"Corinna, why aren't you eating your breakfast?" Carlos asks as he walks out, dressed in his uniform.

"I just have a stomachache," Corinna responds.

TK immediately places the back of his hand on her forehead, "you don't have a fever."

"Well, if it gets too bad, go to the nurse at school, okay? Your dad is off today so he could come get you. I want you to try going to school, though," Carlos says, "do you need anything?"

"No, I'm good," Corinna says as she stands up, pushing her chair in, "I'm going to go get ready."

"Okay, the bus comes in thirty minutes."

"Corinna, come on, you missed the bus. Your father will take you on his way to work," TK says through the bathroom door.

"Uh, yeah, be right there," Corinna says awkwardly as she sits on the toilet.

She looks down to the toilet paper in her hand that has a brownish-red substance on it. She quickly opens the cupboard under the sink, hoping to find a sanity pad from when her aunt last visited. She pulls out a single tampon with a grimace. She throws it to the ground before placing her head in her hands and elbows on her knees with a quiet whine.

"Corinna, are you okay? You've been in there for twenty minutes," TK's voice comes again, "does this have to do with your stomachache?"

With teary eyes, Corinna wraps toilet paper around her underwear and pulls them and her pants up. She flushes the toilet before washing her hands. Once she dries her hands, she opens the door, stepping past TK. TK, seeing her distress, grabs her arm lightly.

"Hey, what's wrong?"

"N-nothing. I'm fine," she responds.

"No, not buying it. Tell me or I'll get your father," TK says sternly. Corinna mumbles with her head down, "what was that?"

"I-I got it," Corinna says softly.

"You got what?"

"It," Corinna says as she emphasizes the word.

TK tilts his head in confusion before the realization hit him like Trudy's shovel hit Carlos, "oh! Oh."

"Yeah," she responds awkwardly.

"Uhm," TK starts, "well, why don't you take today off of school? I can run and get you some... Pads, right? You start with pads? I think you do. Can I tell Nancy? Nancy might be able to help. She can even come talk to you if you want. That's completely up to you, though. You choose who knows. It's not something to keep a secret, though. This is just something your body does. Don't be ashamed. Not that you're ashamed, but don't be if you are."

"Dad. You're rambling," Corinna says with a chuckle.

"Right, sorry. Uh, do you want your father to know?"

"Her father to know what?" Corinna and TK turn to see Carlos standing there.

"I got my period," Corinna says softly.

"Oh, okay," Carlos says simply before looking at TK's stressed expression, "do you want me to call off of my shift?"

"No, I can handle this," TK says defensively.

"I was asking Corinna," Carlos responds.

"I think Dad's got it," Corinna says with a smile.

"Okay, well you let me know if you want anything on my way home, okay? Your aunts used to always binge on mint chocolate chip ice cream when they got their periods."

Corinna nods before hugging him goodbye so he can leave for work.

"Okay, are you good here so I can run to the drugstore?" TK asks as he rushes around the home looking for the keys he is holding.

"Yes, I'm fine. And call Nancy. She can help you," Corinna responds, laughing at her father, "oh, and dad?"

"Hmm?"

"Your keys are in your hand," Corinna says with a chuckle.

"Oh, right." TK says before leaving.

TK walks into the house, Nancy following. Each of them are carrying two bags. They walk into the kitchen, where Corinna meets them, and dump the bags out on the table. Over twenty packages of pads fall onto the table.

"Holy-."

"Language," TK interrupts.

"Yeah, there's a variety of pad choices, so this will help you gradually find the one you like the best," Nancy says, "also, your dad checked out before I got there."

"That sounds about right," Corinna says softy.

"Okay, I'll leave you two to talk," TK says before leaving the room to go into the living room and give Nancy and Corinna privacy.

"Okay, so, how does your stomach feel?" Nancy asks softly as she sorts the boxes of pads.

"It kind of feels like I have to go to the bathroom, like something is squeezing me," Corinna nods.

"Yeah, welcome to cramps," Nancy says, handing her two advil tablets, "now, pads come in different thicknesses for different flow weights. It will take you a while to get on a schedule and even have a standard flow. Personally, my flow is light for the first two days, heavy on the third, then light for two more. You'll get a hang of it. After all, you'll spend three decades or so getting your period."

"Oh, fun," Corinna says, her voice dripping in sarcasm.

"Now, do you know how to put a pad on?"

"Yeah, we learned that in school," Corinna responds.

"Now, take this and go put one on, okay? I'll be here if you need my help," Nancy says softly as she holds a box out to her.

Corinna takes the box and walks into the bathroom. TK sees her walk by but stays in his spot, not wanting to embarrass her. He also sees her leave the bathroom moments later, but still stays on the couch.

"I feel like I'm wearing a diaper," she says.

"Yeah, that doesn't get much better," Nancy says with a chuckle.

"Thank you for coming," Corinna says, "I love my dads with all my heart. I don't want to even imagine where I'd be if they didn't adopt me. It was just hard this morning that I didn't have a mom to go to for help."

"Well, you have plenty of aunts. Marjan, Grace, Tommy, and your dad's sisters are only some of them. If you ever need anything, you let any of us know and we'll be here as soon as possible."

Corinna nods with a laugh, "think we should let dad come back in?"

"Hey, it's your day. That's up to you."

Corinna smirks before turning her head towards the hallway that leads to the living room, "dad, you can come in!"

TK walks in slowly, trying not to act excited, "so, what are our plans today?"

"I want to watch Disney channel original movies and get nostalgic," Corinna says.

"I'll make the popcorn, Nance, you get the blankets."
