"I have my shift from 11 , so I need to leave for the hospital. I'm so sorry that I could not see you off." Teja said feeling guilty.
"No problem at all." Karan's mother said and gave her a side hug. "Take care baccha."
Teja smiled at her endearment "Bhai will drop you guys at the airport."
"Why ? We will call a cab instead, no need of troubling him" Karan's father said.
"Uncle it's totally fine. I will drop you all." Tarun said.
"Time just flew by so fast, it feels like it was just a few hours ago we landed here." Kirti said. "This felt like being at home. "
"As it should" Teja's mother said .
As everyone was busy bidding their bye to each other, Teja saw an opportunity and took Karan with her in one of the rooms.
"Teju I know that you will miss me a lot, but this is not the correct thing to do. What will our parents think about us ." Karan said dramatically to tease her.
Teja didn't pay attention to his teasing and brought a small box from a drawer.
"Teju, this looks like a ring box" He said being utterly shocked.
"Because it is." Teja said nonchalantly and pulled out a simple gold ring.

"Teju !" He again called her name to make sure if she was sure about what she was doing.
"Don't worry Karan, I am not proposing you." Teja said with a chuckle. "This is my ring. When I got my first salary, mom asked me to buy some gold for myself, so I brought this ring ." She told him.
Karan silently stood there paying his complete attention to Teja.
"Give me your chain. "
Karan took out his silver chain which he used to wear daily, and gave it to her.
Teja put her ring in his chain as a pendant and made him wear it.
"As you gave me this necklace to remind me of you, I hope that this ring will remind you of me." She said.
Karan pulled her in a hug, then turned a little to see her without breaking the hug.
"But , kisiko yaad karne ke liye use bhulna bhi toh zaroori hai" He said smiling "Ab aap hi bataye ki apko akir bhulaye kese."
Teja could not hold back her laugh and her blush. "God , you are so cheesy. I could have never guessed it."
"Me neither. But I say such cheesy things only because I know you love it. "
She pulled back from the hug "I don't" she said.
Karan again pulled her closer "You hate it , right?" He asked.
"Yes."
"Just the way you hate me" he said with a smirk.
Teja tried to glare at him but failed so she hid her face on his chest.
They stood there, holding each other close for the next few minutes.
"I am not going to miss you. Not even a bit." Teja said looking at him .
She tried keeping a straight face while saying this to not show her emotions, but as always, her eyes betrayed her. Within seconds tears pooled in her eyes.
She quickly wiped them off "I seriously won't miss you" she said again.
Karan cupped her face and caressed her cheeks.
"But I will miss you a lot." He said and kissed her forehead.
He leaned in to kiss her , when someone knocked on the door and opened it.
"Guys ! Get a room" Kirti said closing her eyes.
"That's exactly what we did di ." Karan said.
"Okay enough now , it's time to leave."
Teja tried to move away but Karan was too strong to win against.
"Yeah, we will join you in a minute. "
"No we are not going to wait now. Move fast. "
"Di please go ahead, we will join you." Karan pleaded.
"No" Kirti said with finality.
"Atleast let me kiss her di" Karan said being annoyed.
Teja turned red due to embarrassment and didn't dare to look at Kirti .
"Shameless, is this the way to talk to your sister." She said feeling equally embarassed. "I am going but better come out soon, otherwise I will be sending Tarun bhai next, to call you ."
"Okay, thanks." Karan said.
As soon as Kirti left Teja hit Karan's chest , "Are you mad" she almost shouted.
"No" He said, smiled and kissed her. ( Sorry readers , but I do not have the talent of elaborating such scenes, so I leave it for your imagination, thanks ) . . . Teja reached the hospital and was about to go in her cabin when one of her colleague stopped her.
"Hi doctor, you on a evening shift today ?" She asked .
"Yes Sana, I had some guests over so I thought that this timing would suit me better."
"And do you know who the guest was ." Vivek said as he joined the ladies. "Her boyfriend." He answered himself the next second.
"Boyfriend ? I didn't know that you were taken." Sana said with amazement.
"Because she never told us."
"It's not a national news anyway." She said. ' Or maybe it is ' she thought soon after.
"So who is he. Is he a doctor too. "
"Umm...no he is not."
"Then ?"
' If I tell them the truth, I know that the information will spread faster than a flu . This Vivek gossips as if it is his second job . But one day they will anyway get to know, and then I will become the bad one for hiding it from them. But I am also not comfortable in sharing such a personal thing with them. It's all my fault. I acted impulsively yesterday , I could have easily diverted the topic still I decided to tell him that I was with my boyfriend. Ahhh... stupid me.' Teja thought.
"Hello, where are you lost Teja" Sana said waving her hand infront of Teja.
"Sorry, I was just thinking about something."
Sana hummed and then pulled Teja aside and whispered so Vivek could not hear them. "Teja did you lie to him because you know that he likes you but you are not interested."
"No." She said instantly "I didn't lie." "Wait, Vivek likes me." She confirmed.
"Obvio Teja. You didn't know."
"I had no idea. So is this the reason why he is so interested in my relationship."
"Teja I don't know about him , but even I am interested in knowing who your boyfriend is." Sana said awkwardly. "So who is he." She asked playfully.
'God save me' Teja internally screamed.
Her phone rang the next second.
'Wow, that was quick. Thank you God' She again said internally .
"Sana I need to take this call , okay. We will talk later. Bye ." Teja said and left immediately.
