"Do you guys really want to marry each other" was the first thing Tarun asked as they all settled down.

It definitely shocked both Karan and Teja which explained why they could not speak for a few seconds.

Teja who was sitting just beside Tarun had her mouth open throughout due to shock, but somehow Karan recovered soon and immediately said , "Yes definitely" with the same surety he always had whenever he used to think about their future.

Teja smiled and slightly blushed hearing him. The confidence he had on them and their relationship was one the major reasons why Teja could even think of dating someone.
She was in a relationship because it was him. If not him , her dating someone was near to impossible.

Tarun cleared his throat which brought Teja back from her trance and then he hummed.

Teja looked at Tarun to see if he was impressed by Karan's confidence as she was but the expressions on his face didn't gave anything out.

From the other end Karan said, "Teju, now you answer your brother's question. "

Now this was her time to tease him so she said, "I will answer him directly you don't need to hear it. "

"Huh ? Teja don't be silly, Tarun Bhai is waiting answer him fast" . He said seriously .

"No she will answer it personally to me , you can drop worrying." Tarun said joining his sister's prank.

Teja instantly covered her mouth to stop her laugh.

"Okay" said Karan in a feeble voice.

This made Teja's laugh uncontrollable so she quickly kept the call on mute and laughed her heart out. "Oh God. I so wish to see his face right now ." She said.

She again looked at her brother and surprisingly this time he had a faint smile on his face too.

"Okay enough, now let me talk" Tarun said and unmuted the call.

"Hmm so then my next question is when are you planning to tell this to your parents."

"To be honest Bhai, I can tell them right now because I know that they will be more than happy. They have always loved Teja. But I was thinking that it will only be fair if we tell both of our parents around the same time."

"Okay." Tarun waited for a few minutes and then continued "I will not lie to you Karan, I am not really pleased by what is going on. I have my own worries and I am telling you, I won't let her marry you until all my worries are resolved. "

It will be a lie to say that Karan's heart didn't just stop for a few seconds after he heard that.
He could not longer imagine his future without her.

On the other hand Teja just sat their helpless. What could she even do, and also she very well knew that her brother was capable of doing what he said.

"Ofcourse Bhai . I can totally understand." Said Karan genuinely.

"So I was thinking that if you both could inform the elders soon , then we could all meet and talk about...everything."

"Whenever Teja is comfortable" Karan said.

"Today at dinner. " Teja said.

"What!" Both Karan and Tarun exclaimed at Teja's reply.

"Are you sure" they both again said together.

"Teju you know right that we can wait, a few more days. You don't need to rush it ." Karan said

"I know Karan, but I don't see a point in waiting now. "

"As you wish then."

"How do you plan to tell them" Teja asked Karan a few hours before the dinner time.

"Easy. I will tell them that I am dating, they will ask me who is the person and I will say your name to which they will say 'good choice ' and that's it. " He replied with a grin.

"You are being over confident now ."

"No I'm not and you don't worry about me  , tell me about your plan first."

"I don't know, I am just planning to go with the flow."

"All the best girlfriend."

"Same to you boyfriend."

"Ah... I don't need it. "

Teja chuckled and shook her head.

It was almost dinner time so Teja sat on the dinning table waiting for everyone. Tarun and Niti joined soon.
Niti held Teja's hand and gave her an assuring nod .

Teja was grateful to atleast have her bhabhi by her side.

Teja's mom came soon after and they started with the dinner. It was not even a minute past when Tarun said, "Mom Teja wanted to say something."

Teja glared at her brother. She wanted to talk to her mom at her own pace but her brother seemed  to be in a hurry.

"Yes Mom." Teja said and it was followed by silence.

"Teju, say." Her mother said.

"Actually mom.... I wanted to tell you about something which is really important to me . I am not sure how you will react to it, but I just want you to trust me." She said and looked at her mom.

"I am listening, continue."

"Karan, the one who came last night for dinner. Whom you even thanked for taking care of me ....he is a really nice person."

"So ?"

"So I..... I like him . And he likes me back."

Her mom looked straight into her eyes with an unreadable expression on her face .

"We are dating. "

Her mother didn't say anything so she continued, "Mom I assure you, he is a great guy. You know na that I will never take such a big step if I'm not sure about it, and for this guy I'm just hundred percent sure. He treats me really well , I like his company, I like him being around."  She finally took a breather.

And then said with teary eyes "I love him."

Niti moved towards her and caressed her back.

"Did I scold you Teju" her mother asked.

She shook her head.

"Then stop crying . And  if you are serious about each other then I think we should invite them over to have a talk. "

"You don't have any problem" Teja asked with disbelief.

"I trust you." Her mother said.

"Thankyou" she said in a low voice while trying to control her tears of happiness.
