"Can you point out the moment when you fell in love with me ? " Karan asked.

Teja stood up , dusted her pants and closed her eyes felling the cold wind take her in its embrace.

She slowly opened her eyes and smiled softly.

"I for the first time saw you when you were playing your debut match .
You played well and also it's not hidden that you are blessed with a beautiful face, so I got curious.

I started watching your interviews and in one of those interviews you laughed whole heartedly on something the interviewer said.

Eyes slightly crinkled , teeths showing." Teja's smile grew wider remembering that moment. "With that child like innocence, you laughed. "

She turned to see if Karan was listening and was delighted to find Karan's entire attention on her .

She continued, "And that was the first time I fell in love with you. "

Karan sat there speechless, not knowing what to say . This was a new piece of information for him and he felt overwhelmed.

"But this not really what you asked right ?" Teja said and chuckled.

She again turned away, watching the sunset nearing.

"You know what" She spoke again, her voice a bit serious.

Karan hummed asking her to countinue.

"If I think about it, I feel that I fell in love with you only in a few days after we met.

Remember when you were going for the Australia tour and you went and sat in the bus without saying anything to me because you were angry as I was ignoring you for the past few days. "

"Yeah you loved ignoring me." Karan said with a hint of annoyance.

He never liked Teja ignoring him and even it's memory annoyed him.

"Sorry" Teja said bringing her hand to her ear and smiled.

Karan smiled back, cause obviously, how could he not.

"But you didn't go before bidding me a goodbye.
You came back .
You came back and asked me to wish you luck. You requested me to reply back to your texts , if possible.
You said that you understood me.

This was the second time I feel in love with you, the real you . The one with whom I shared my thoughts, words , laughs and,  silence. "

Teja took a deep breath and continued, "and then for the next six months I stayed in denial." She sighed and shook her head, disappointed by herself.

She turned again to look at Karan.

Though this time she was a bit taken aback and took a few steps back to find Karan standing right behind her.

Karan immediately pulled her in a hug and Teja rested her head on his chest.

"Do not go near the edge of the cliff." He said slowly.

Teja hummed thinking that it was the normal concern Karan always showed.

"I do not want to lose you." He almost whispered.

Teja instantly looked at him "what happened Karan" she asked.

He took a few seconds and then said, "The dream that I saw in the car , I saw it again last night. I tried to hold on to your hand and I tried my best but it slipped away and you were gone . I felt helpless." He said the last line with a little stammer.

Teja looked at him intently, understanding how he felt.

"This is the reason why you didn't even sleep properly yesterday ? "
