"Ready for the flight" Teja asked Karan on video call.

"Yes."

"Did you check everything, cards , passport, charger ."

"Everything is done." He moved the camera and showed her his packed bags." Been doing it for years now."

"Great. And yes, Sana wished you for the tour so all the best from her side. "

"Thanks to her. "

"By the way, I thought that you really won't tell anyone about us , except your close circle."

"I have no problem in telling if they keep this information to themselves. I could trust Sana on this ,so I told her."

"And what about that 12 am guy . Isn't he bothering you." Karan said with a tone which clearly expressed his dislike for Vivek.

"He doesn't talk to me much. Though I can understand him."

"Why isn't he talking?"

"He got disappointed by the fact that I am not single."

"He liked you ?" Karan asked instantly, his relaxed face turning into a frown.

"Hmm. Sana told me. "

"I knew it. That guy gave weird vibes that day itself." He said being irritated.

"Not a big deal Karan. Now we just can't control anybody's feelings, can we. "

"Still, that's so unprofessional."

"Oh God." She exasperated. "I will say again, we cannot control feelings. So if he liked me , that's fine, it's okay. And it's also not unprofessional as it didn't come inbetween his work."

"Why are you defending him so much."

"Because you always do this. Can people not like me now ?" She spat out.

Karan got concerned. He never wanted this conversation to turn this serious.
"No Teju, I didn't mean that. "

"And did I ever say anything about the number of girls who like you. All those edits, those disgusting thirsty comments, did I ever say anything to you. "

"Why are you reading the comments on my post?"

"Oh..so this is what you are concerned about out of everything."

Karan chuckled. Did Teja sound jealous? Yes she did. Was it a rare sight ? Yes it was.

"I can't stop them" he said with a grin.

"You enjoy it, I know. Your smile shows it. "

"No, I don't. Yes , maybe I would like it if you are the one writing those comments."

"Eww." She scrunched her nose. "I would never, I mean why would you want anyone to step on you. Yuck."

Karan laughed out.

"It's not funny ." She cried out.

"You are adorable." He said between his laughs.

Teja could only glared back at him as she was in no mood of interrupting his laugh.

'How can someone be so beautiful ?' she thought.

"I love you." They said at the same time.

"Take care and call whenever you get time" Teja added.

"I will. You take care too." He said "Aur uss Vivek se dur reh."

"Karan." She cried out being irritated but laughed at the end.

The England tour wasn't going well for Karan. It went so bad that there were headlines saying this was his lowest phase.

He was a very promising player for the team but lately it felt like he lost form . His IPL performance was average, though his team as a whole managed to win title.

Karan was not knew to it , he had seen such phases and had bounced back even stronger.

But this time somehow everything around him started affecting him in a negative way.

He was disappointed by himself and suddenly the  words of the cricket critics felt true to him.

The same people who guided him during his initial stage said such harsh things that it broke his confidence.

Teja on the other side stayed with him as much as she could. This was new for her too.

This time each of Karan's bad score felt personal. She had to cheer up herself first before calling him.

She tried everything, talking about the most random things to distract him , or sometimes talking to him directly about the match so he could just let out what he was feeling.
But nothing seemed to work , he sounded weaker day by day.

To make it worst he was dropped from the team for the last T20 saying that he should rest and prepare well for the coming World Cup which was more important.

The team played brilliantly in the last match and won the series. This lead to headlines like.

" Should Aman get chance instead of Karan in the World Cup"

" Karan being a liability for the team ?"

" Karan Kundra to be dropped from the world cup squad ? Look at what the coach has to say "

Though these articles mostly had the coach backing up Karan, still , people mostly do not take an effort to actually read the article , do they ?

To take a brake from this continuous trolls and negativity, Karan decided to go back to his home for two days before the world cup started.

"Karan is back home" Teja said to her family as they all sat together for their dinner.

"Is he really out of the squad." Tarun asked with concern. He could feel the tension from the past few weeks. He was worried, both for Teja and Karan.

"No" she said immediately "He just wanted some off time from.... everything." She added, her voice low.

"You should go and meet him." Teja's mom said.

"I was going to ask for your permission" Teja said.

"You have mine" Teja's mom said with an assuring nod.

Teja then looked at Tarun.

Tarun nodded too.

"Thank you" She mouthed.

"Did you book your tickets" Niti asked.

Teja lowered her eyes and with a small mischievous smile said, "Yes I did ."
