Karan entered the guest room behind Teja and found her doing something on her phone.

Teja turned and looked up from the phone sensing Karan's presence.

She stared at him for the first few seconds and then let out a deep breath.

Karan was standing quietly so she said to him. "Can I ask our friends to join us on this trip or you will even find that childish."

Karan knew that this was a taunt. He also accepted that he overreacted earlier and understood Teja's hesitation to go alone with him.

Though , even after knowing everything he thought of messing around a bit with her.

So he replied, "Okay I get it that you are uncomfortable with travelling with me alone so if that's what it takes for you to come on this trip, then go ahead, invite our friends. "

Teja was already enough irritated to take Karan's teasing. Also she didn't even think that Karan was lying.
She really thought that whatever Karan said was what he really felt. And this thought, more than making her angry, disappointed her.

"Seriously, is this how much you understand me ? And here I used to think that you understood me the most. "

Karan felt her disappointment from her tone and quickly dropped his teasing plan.

"Sorry Teju I was just...."

"I was just what?" Teja snapped. "Do you not understand that I would not be here in your house if I was even a bit uncomfortable around you . I just like travelling with a group, is that a problem now."

"No it's not" Karan said calmly . He reached her hand and pulled her closer .

He himself moved to the corner of the bed and made her sit on his lap , hugging her.

"I was just messing around with you. I do understand what you mean and.. I am sorry ." He almost whispered to her.

"This is what you do. Just say sorry and get away with it." Teja mumbled.

"I'm not just saying sorry, I really am sorry. "

Teja didn't reply back.

"And you should call our friends to see if they can come with us. "

Teja squinted her eyes at him which made Karan chuckle.

He said, "I knew it since the day you said that you liked hum saath saath hai, that you are a person who loves the idea of taking your entire family with you on your honeymoon. "

Teja sat agape at his comment when he added, mimicking, "Sab sath mein Rampur chale. "

Teja instantly stood at took a pillow to hit him. Karan was fast enough and moved to the other side of the bed before she could hit him, laughing throughout.

When after 10 minutes of chasing Karan she could not catch him, she dropped herself on the settee tired.

"I hate you" she said in between her deep breaths.

"You wish" Karan said as he sat beside her not equally but still tired.

Karan and Teja called their friends but none could manage on such a short time.

They also decided that they would travel by road in their car and won't take a flight.

The trip was more to spend a quality time together than actual exploring.

Bengaluru to Thiruvananthapuram was a 13 hrs drive so they decided to leave early in the morning so that they could reach by dinner time.

So the next day they left around six in the morning. They drived in shifts, listening to 90s and 2000s music and sometimes stopped to have food.

It was evening when Teja stopped the car by the side of the road to enjoy the sunset.

Orange, pink , purple ; the sky changed colours with time, each more beautiful than the previous.

The calmness and peace of that moment is unexplainable in words.

"If I could stop time, I would stop it here forever." Teja said with a gentle smile on her face watching the sunset.

Karan looked at her and his heart skipped a beat for the nth time because of her.

The orange sun rays made her look even more beautiful.

He was lost in admiring her , but was brought back by the sound of a car passing by.

He remembered what Teja said a few minutes ago and replied back.

"I won't" he said.

This made Teja look at him with a questioning face.

"This is beautiful, ofcourse it is. But I'm sure that we will see and experience more beautiful things together in the future.
So sorry. We are not stopping here, not yet. "

Teja's smile grew wider . She clung to his arm and rested her head on his shoulder as they sat on the hood of his car.

As it grew darker they decided to resume their journey as they were still going to take more three hours to reach their destination.

The beach house was a beautifully built duplex with traditional architecture.

Two caretakers used to be always there to look after the property.
As Karan and Teja reached, one of the caretaker took their luggage while the other greeted them.

"Welcome Sir, welcome ma'am. We were waiting for you since long. How was the journey?"

"Quite amazing. Just a little tired." Karan said.

"Sir the rooms are ready, you both can freshen up and till then we will also serve the dinner. "

"Great." Karan said and they moved towards their respective bedrooms.

Firstly, sorry for short and late updates but writing this story is getting tougher with each passing day.

I am thinking of ending this story soon but can't find a right way of doing it.

The next update might also take time but I promise that it would be better.
