Kirti and Sameer reached home, and as every normal household, happened a chit chat session which went till midnight.

Kirti was Karan's elder sister and understood him very well. She could see that the way her brother used to talk about Teja was not something he would do for a normal friend. So in order to find answer to her questions she decided to directly talk to Karan about it.

Karan was in the balcony when Kirti came and stood beside him.

"So , how is life going." Kirti asked.

"Pretty good. Completely recovered from the injury , thankfully. The training is going good. I hope that I perform well in the coming IPL season."

"Hmm... that means professional life is good. What about your personal life, something that I should know."

Kirti was Karan's elder sister but was more like a friend. They never hesitated in asking each other about their love life, neither did they used to hesitate answering the questions.

Kirti asking Karan about his personal life felt normal to him. He wanted to be honest with his sister, but at the same time did not want to say something he himself wasn't sure of. Though he was sure about the way he felt for Teja, he was still not sure about Teja's feelings.

"Nothing much dii ."

"Teja, that's her name right "

"Tejasswi" Karan instantly clarified

"Tejasswi.... nice. Mom was really praising her a lot. She clearly loves her a lot."

Karan smiled and said, "she surely does."

"And you?"

"Huh!"

"I mean not love, but you like her right"

Karan was shocked would be an understatement. He knew that his sister knew him well, but not this well.

"Is it so obvious, that you, who came just a few hours ago could also see it."

Kirti laughed and said, "I agree that I came a few hours ago but you should not forget that I know you from the past thirty years.
Anyways, so you like her, tell me more about it."

"Umm...yeah I like her , but that's it. There's nothing more to it."

"Why ? Is she committed."

"No. But you know, we share such a great bond that I don't want to do something that ruins it. "

"So you think that she doesn't like you, but did you even talk to her about it."

"I didn't mean that. It's just that I don't know how she feels for me. Initially even I was confused about my feelings, thought that this might be some casual attraction, but I don't think that it's like that. She has always said that she is not interested in relationships . She even rejected her years long best friend because of it, she is really strong headed that way. In short I don't want to risk it."

"But in the fear of risking your friendship, you might just lose something even more beautiful. I think you should give it a try."

"Di, she is a girl who believes in life long commitment and I think that she deserves nothing less. Ofcourse I like her , but I guess life long commitment needs love , and am I in love with her, I don't know. She is not a girl with whom I will want to try things out, I will take things forward when I am absolutely sure about us."

"You know you sound like Bunny from YJHD , 'Tumhari jaisi ladkiyan flirting ke liye nahi Ishq ke liye bani hai '."

Karan chuckled and said, "she loves this movie. I am sure you both will bond amazingly well."

"I am excited to meet her, please plan something okay."

"Definitely."

The next day, in the morning, Kirti and her mom were sitting together talking about some random topic, when Kirti started talking about Teja.

"I heard her sing yesterday, she for sure has a beautiful voice."

"She is also a beautiful girl, a sweetheart."

"Mom, do you think that there's something going on between Teja and Karan."

"Did he tell you something."

"No. I asked him yesterday but he denied. But what do you think, you have seen them together, so is there any possibility."

"I didn't notice anything as such, but I will be more than happy if they get together. They will look good."

"What! Did I just hear my mom approving a girl for my little brother. You must really like her a lot to do this."

"It's not about liking Kirti, but she is a girl who will be perfect for Karan and our family. I think you should really meet her in person then you will know what I am talking about. "

"I asked Karan to plan something, he will tell."

"What's there to plan in it , just invite her for a dinner on Sunday."

"Brilliant idea mom. I will ask Karan to invite her."

Meanwhile Teja on one side was sad as she was feeling seperation anxiety from Karan and on the other side was annoyed because she was feeling that way.

' You are behaving as if you will not get to see or talk to him in life ahead. Remember he went for the Australia tour for almost two months, you did not feel any of this back then, so why now.
Okay I understand the friendship grew and so did your fondness, but at the end he is just a friend. Why are you thinking so much about it.' Teja thought.

"you don't like me. But I like you, so I can talk " Karan's words suddenly struck Teja's mind and a smile instantly came on her face. But after a few minutes of reminiscing his words , the thought that he might actually like her tensed Teja.

She could control the way she felt, but not the way Karan did. Recently she could notice a few changes in the way Karan behaved with her , more softer , more lovingly. Also her friends from the starting would tell her that Karan liked her.

The thought that one day Karan will just say something which she will not have an answer for and even if she had , she will not have the courage to say it to him, scared her.

Teja's thoughts were broken by a call, Karan her phone read.
After taking a few seconds to calm herself, Teja picked up the call.

"Teja can we have a dinner together." Karan said.
