In the mean time after a bit of discussion, Teja and Karan decided that Karan will post about the engagement and let his fans know about it.

Though they both knew that it was already known to everyone that Teja was his girlfriend still they decided that only the rings pictures will be posted.

So Karan posted two pictures the cover photo being that of their engagement rings and the next of the paper rings.

" HOME ( red heart ) " he captioned the pics.

Soon the media pages , his fan pages started posting about it too.
Most of the people congratulated them but as usual a certain section was bitter.

"This is what happens when you ditch a pure girl. Now boy is stuck with a girl as bad as her.
I mean now he is ashamed to even post a picture of her. "
One of the fan of Karan's ex wrote.

" I'm happy if he is too , but tbh he can easily get someone better."

"Got to know that the girl worked with the cricket team and that's how they met and started dating. Now this clearly explains his poor form. Bro got distracted. "

"In search of gold he lost a diamond." A fanpage of Riya wrote.

Though these comments soon got overshadowed by the best wishes they were receiving from Karan's fellow cricketers and fans.

After a few days..

"See I have a test and ODI series in two months, then IPL after a month and then soon the world cup. All three are happening in India only so luckily not going out of the country.

So now , if we look at the dates to get married we can wait till the world cup gets over, which will give us time to plan our wedding better.
But that's more than half an year from now so I don't really like this idea.

The next options are either getting married before IPL or before the test series.

If you ask me , I think if we can marry in less than two months what's the point of waiting for four months.

About the preparations , I assure you I will manage everything. " Karan said to Teja as they were discussing their wedding dates .

"It's not about arrangements, you can arrange things even in a day that doesn't mean that we can get married day after tomorrow."  Teja said.

" Why can't we . Rather I like the date . Last year on this date we met for the first time." Karan said.

Teja looked at the date and said, " It's going to be an year already. I still can't believe it. Feels like yesterday."

"I totally agree. I think I should come and see you. "

"You can't." Teja said. "You have an event. A charity event to be precise and I don't think you should skip it.
But if you wish, you can come after the event is over ." Teja said raising her eyebrows and smiled.

"You think I can't do that" Karan asked thinking that Teja was teasing him.

"No. I think that you can definitely do it ,and I want you to do it. " Teja said nonchalantly with an underlying confidence.

Karan gulped .

"You ...you" he stammered a bit . "You just sounded really hot."
"No , actually sexy" he immediately corrected. "Very sexy. "

Teja couldn't stop her blush . She turned pink and then red and could not find words to say back.

"And to let you know, this doesn't really help specially when we are so far .
Like the way I just want to  have you close, and to kiss you now but I can't.

It's almost irritating.

This is also one of the reasons why I want to marry you as soon as possible." Karan said innocently.

Teja had to say something. She just couldn't only sit and blush .

So she tried to play it casual and said, " Maybe just hug your pillow if you miss me so much. "

"I do that everytime. Because of it my pillow has literally become half ."

Teja chuckled. " Should I be scared " she asked.

"Definitely not. I will be gentle with you, always. "

"Aww.. that's so sweet." Teja said being touched by Karan's words.

But then with a smirk Karan said, "Unless and until, rough is what you prefer. "

Teja gasped, and then shouted, "Karan...you are so shameless. "

Seeing her reaction Karan burst into a fit of laughter.

At the event two days later , after the host was done asking Karan about cricket, the charity and other related questions he asked.

"Karan you got engaged recently, so first of all congrats on that and, how is it going brother."

Karan smiled and said, " It's going great. It feels amazing to finally make things official with the person you love ."

"That's great. Also I wanted to ask about the rings , the paper rings you posted. So did you guys do a rehearsal before you actually got engaged."

"No , that's not what happened. Actually we were on a hill top watching the sunset and at that moment I just felt like asking her for marriage, and I did.
She said yes but , because it was so spontaneous that I didn't have a ring for her , so then she made those rings and we exchanged them."

"Wow, was she not mad at your spontaneity, but before that atleast tell us her name . I'm sure no one here knows it , you have kept her like a secret treasure."

"For sure a treasure but I don't intend to keep her a secret. It's just that she is a private person in general and I don't want her to compromise with her privacy only because she is my partner.

And , her name is Tejasswi Prakash, she is a doctor, infact we met on this day last year for the first time."

" Oh wow. " The host said delighted by the new information he got.
"Can we know a bit more about how this happened. "

" Umm..she worked with the team for a few weeks and then she was also there to look out for my injury .

That's how we started talking but then eventually we didn't really need a reason to talk to each other. It has always been very easy and organic between us .

Yeah that's it . I'm already missing her so just change the topic." He said which gained smiles and giggles from the audience.

"I'm sorry Teja, but I am jealous." Sana said to Teja as they sat having their lunch at the canteen , watching Karan's interview live.

"I can understand. I would be jealous too." Teja said. "He almost feels fictional."

As the interview lived hundreds and thousands of reels took over the internet loving the new couple.

Teja's phone continuously buzzed with follow requests and the clips were Teja was spotted were gaining a lot of attention.

A hashtag soon came on trending with over 500 tweets every hour , their couple hashtag #TejRan.
