At Karan's house a delicious meal was waiting for them for dinner.

After dinner they all sat in the balcony, enjoying the cold breeze, stary sky and each others company.

In between, Karan asked Teja, "so when are you leaving. "

Everyone instantly looked  towards him and stared.

"You should not ask such questions Karan." Karan's mother said.

"It's okay aunty. It looks like he is already bored of me . "

"That's not what I mean." Karan tried to reason.

"Then what else is it supposed to mean." Karan's father said glaring at him.

"Dad , I was just asking this so that I could be prepared, because she can literally get up tomorrow and say that she is leaving ."

Teja rolled her eyes at his explanation.

"Then you should have framed a better question." Karan's mother said.

"I know. Okay I will try again." He said "Teju can I know how many days leave did you get so that I can understand how much time I can spend with you before you go back. "
He said and flashed his most charming smile .

Teja shook her head and tried suppressing her smile by biting the inside of her cheek .

Both his parents smiled too ," better" his mother said.

" To answer your question, I was thinking that I can easily take a 10 day leave. "

"10 days" Karan exclaimed with happiness. "How did the hospital management even agree for it. "

"Actually the 10 day leave isn't final too, I can easily extend it. I just said that I wanted a few days off and they happily approved. You know, the perks of being Karan Kundra 's girlfriend." She said the last line with a sheepish smile.

"You told them ?" Karan asked amused.

"I didn't have to. They already knew. "

"How ?"

"The birthday video message I sent, a small bit of it was there in the BCCI edit .  No one directly asked me about it , but they got the confirmation through Sana. In no time the news was in the doctor's gossip group and from their it reached the authorities too. "

"So how is it at work now. Did anything change." Karan asked.

"Oh God, don't ask me. The first day after this news was out , I got so many stares and people smiling at me who I hardly knew.
Many just got overly sweet suddenly . It got so irritating at a point that I was close to screaming. "

Karan laughed, "I can imagine. "

"Get used to it already Teju. The attention will only increase once you guys make it official." Karan's mother said.

Teja's smile dropped a little.
She was not sure how she was going to manage such a massive change in her lifestyle.

"You will get used to it beta, don't worry.
Most of the attention comes from admiration and curiosity. We should just respect that and ignore the rest.
And if still you feel uncomfortable, then you both should talk about it and find a solution." Karan's father said.

Teja nodded with a smile. She always felt good wherever Karan's father showed concern for her and gave her the best advice. He reminded her of her father.

At the same time Karan held Teja's hand and said to her. "Yes. I can ask my team to not let anything about you come out in the media."

"No need. Anyways, the media hardly knows anything, and it is still a rumour. Also my socials are private, so it's totally fine. "

"I don't think it's still a rumour." Karan's mother said and passed them her phone showing Karan's that days spotting at the airport.

"Today's spotting has confirmed it for everyone. "

The video could not capture Teja's face clearly as no one noticed her till Karan himself noticed her .

And there was no chance of capturing her as Karan took her in a hug and she hid her face in the nook of his neck.

Karan and Teja just looked at each other and then scrolled  down to watch another reel.

The other video had a front view of them which captured Teja better. This post was with a caption ,

' Karan Kundra 's girlfriend comes to pick him up. The couple looks so in love and we can't wait for them to make it official. '

"I can ask them to delete this post of you want." Karan said.

"I do not look that bad here , isn't it." Teja said as she kept repeating the video to see how she looked.

Karan chuckled. "You look pretty" he said.

The next morning when Karan's parents woke up early in the morning for their walk , they found both Karan and Teja sleeping normal to each other on their L- shaped couch sharing a pillow .

As it was early morning, they decided not to disturb them and left.

When even after coming back they found both of them still on the couch, they woke them up.

"God knows how late you both slept" Karan's mother said while shaking them. "You both can go and sleep in your bedroom if you want to, but quickly move away from here."

Teja was the first from both of them to wake up.
She yawned and stretched her arms. Then she suddenly realised where she was and instantly stood straight.

"Sorry aunty, we were talking and didn't realise when we slept." She said with embarrassment clear on her face.

Karan got up too , still sleepy . He took a cushion in one hand and said in his sleepy voice, "Mom we slept very late."

He stood up, held Teja's hand and started walking towards his bedroom

Teja looked at Karan's mother and jerked her hand out of his hold and said, "no.. I'm not sleepy. You go and sleep. "

"Are you sure" he asked squinting.

"Yeah." She said with her cheeks turning red due to embarrassment.

Karan left for his room and so did Teja for the guest room.
"I will go , freshen up." Teja said to Karan's mother before leaving.

When Teja didn't come for breakfast even after an hour, Karan's mother went to call her and found her sleeping on the bed.

She didn't disturb her sleep and left .

After almost two hours both Teja are Karan woke up and got ready and Karan's mother served them their brunch.

"I was thinking" Karan's mother said "if Teja has taken a leave for so many days , you both can go somewhere on a trip."
